I'll be attempting to get in tomorrow. Hopefully there isn't an insane amount of people trying to get in at 8:30 on a Wednesday. Was anyone there today? How was the line? IF I make it in I will be watching the LB and d-line group along with the WR

Even just aside from Luck and Reich's obvious QB connection it seems like their personalities would mesh so well. Both seems easy going, friendly, really smart. Especially when you consider just how different from them a certain coordinator in New Englad seems, kind of abrasive, among other things.

Yup so padded practices may stop here shortly

so I just looked it up, I was wrong... there is no total number of padded practices limited during camp, only during the season (14).  Only restrictions of padded practices during camp is 1 per day, 3 hours in length max. No full padded practice prior to day 3 of camp.

from NFL.com

Every training camp is governed by the rules of the NFL's collective bargaining agreement. Here are the rules pertaining to training camp practices:

*The first day of training camp is limited to physical exams, meetings and classroom instruction. Running and conditioning are the only on-field activities permitted.

*No contact is allowed and no pads can be worn on the second and third days of training camp.

*After the third day of training camp two-a-days are permitted with the following restrictions:

*Players may be on the field for a total of no more than four hours per day.

*Players may participate in no more than one padded practice per day, which shall be no longer than three hours of on-field activities.

*There must be at least a three-hour break after the first practice.

*The second practice on the same day may only be for a maximum of the remaining available on-field time and has to be limited to only walk-through instruction (no helmets, full-speed pre-snap and walking pace after the snap).

*The three-hour limit on padded practices begins as soon as position coaches start to coach players on the field.

*If a team begins a padded practice but the practice is canceled within 60 minutes of its start due to inclement weather or any other reason beyond the team's control, the practice won't count as a padded practice.

*A padded practice is defined as a practice in which players are required to wear helmets and shoulder pads.

I didn't want anything to do McDaniels. I much would have rather had Patricia. I honestly thought the Colts were going to make a hard run at Harbaugh. Either way I'm more than happy that Frank Reich is running the show now.

Might be time to just cut Denzelle Good

Let him play the preseason if he even makes it through that health wise, but let him go. Constantly getting banged up

Was thinking the same thing.  Or at least bump him to a backup role.  Run with Howard?

Love reading about the big uglies getting intense and * off at each other. Goes in line with building that nasty mentality.

And on another note I’d saw a tweet stating that the offense was consistently dominating the defense in the goal line situations time and time again. Folks are going to have to be patient with the defense. It may not be too pleasant this year.

They said the first team OL includes Howard at RT. I think Good was the backup in for reps during 1-on-1's.

I missed that.  In that case, cut him loose.

    • I'm going to respectfully disagree here. I think, regardless of what the fans might think, their lack of FAs and re-signing all our own means the Colts believe this team is truly capable of making waves in 2024, being only 1 play away from a playoff birth/division title.    I think they believe that they are a couple pieces away but clearly need a top skill position wideout to pair with Pittman and Downs. Every pick after that is fillers, depth, and/or less important needs in their minds.    You could wind up being correct but I'm sticking with my trade up scenario where the only way I'm wrong is that we find out later, the Colts could not find a trade partner or that the trade partners really wanted to much in compensation.   I'm sticking with Colts trade to with Chargers and take Nabers at pick 5.
    • Latest update not encouraging? Where's that at? Wasn't in that article.     Everything I have seen, has shown some athleticism has already started to come back.     I posted a couple rehab videos somewhere a month ago or so.   He is already dunking and looked very quick on take off and on his straight line running.   Can't remember if there was a change of direction in the the video but I think there was that as well.     Saying that, I think we still bring in a CB, but everything I have seen has been encouraging in regards to rehab.
    • Steelers picking at No.20 probably want him to get past Bengals and Jaguars so that they can draft Adonai Mitchell, so could be an article blessed by the organization too
    • I think we stay at 15, hope Bowers is there but dont think he will be. With latest update not encouraging that Flowers will be ready seems like Corner more likely to be taken over WR.  First round corner paired with Brents with Jones first corner off the bench should yield better results then last season.   ttps://www.aol.com/cb-dallis-flowers-rehabbing-achilles-084056300.htm
    • I think the draft falls this way:   1) Bears: Caleb 2) Commanders: Daniels 3) Vikings (trade with Pats) Maye 4) Cardinals: MHJ 5) Colts (trade with Chargers) Nabers   Reason for my top 5 is that I think the Patriots really like McCarthy, coupled with the Brady/McCarthy Michigan thing plus the Pats need more player help, it makes sense for the Pats to trade back to 11 but still be in front of the Raiders and Broncos to get their QB   Colts trade up reason: I think the Chargers need O-line help as well as other players like WR, however I believe the Chargers can still get a top LT at 15 and WR late in round one or if they trade back into round one which I believe they will attempt to do in this scenario. Plus, the Harbough Indy connection makes this trade likely.   Even if the Commanders take Maye at 2, I still think the Vikings trade up and then grab Daniels. Pats take McCarthy.   I think this is the year the Colts finally will mortgage a little bit of the future for the wideout. I'm going to stick with this. I hope my gut is correct here, we'll see.
