Adonis Alexander Works Out for 26 Teams

Adonis Alexander worked out for more than two dozen teams today on the Virginia Tech campus in preparation for the July 11 Supplemental Draft.  Here are the results.

Alexander, who some scouts graded as the third highest rated senior prospect in the nation while others penned as the number two cornerback prospect from the upperclassmen, measured 6020/195 pounds.

He timed 4.61s in the forty, 7.18s in the 3 cone and 4.37s in the short shuttle.  His vertical touched 35.5 inches while his broad reached 10-feet-4-inches.

Alexander, who we project as a third round pick in the supplemental draft, looked good in ball drills.  His length, balls skills and arm size (over 32 inches), is very attractive to NFL teams.

Over the course of the past two days Alexander met with the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts.

4.61 Forty is kind of slow for a CB isn't it?

Seems like some of the faster receivers in the NFL would burn this kid easily.

Zone corners can have slower times. Plus he's pretty tall at 6'3" so his wingspan can help him out. Also, we'll be playing a bunch of cover two and off coverages.  Richard Sherman isnt a whole lot faster than that.  And Brandon Browner ran 4.63 when he was with the Legion of Boom.

So here is the question.  If this kid had come out for the 2018 draft, where would he likely have been drafted?

So if he was going to be drafted that low in 2018, why do they think he's worth a 3rd in the supplimental draft?

Who is they?     Im not sure what the Colts opinion is, but mine as a fan is 5-7
