TAMUC were the D2 champions and this kid was a star for them.  Big difference in play but a few D2 guys have made the transition.

He is 6' 7" and listed as 280 unless he has put on more weight since the article I was reading.  I would love for a D-2 kid to get his shot.  I think I tend to get excited about any OL addition.  Machorro needs to beef up a bit.

It depends on what those 280 are

The Colts app had himat 6-6, 302.  Putting on weight (muscle) is a lot easier than losing it, as I can attest.

He won won a ton of awards at that level, but Haeg was one of the best FCS OTs, so you can never tell.

I wish him well.

Smonroe said 302....that's a little better :)  Someone can correct me, but I don't think there an OT in the NFL 280 or under.  I bet he is quick on his feet without seeing film on him.

Hard to find information on him, but it seems like he used to be a TE:

Also, here's an article on him:

Quote

In 2016, he had a breakout season being named to four All-American teams, two All-Super region teams and first team all-conference. Machorro was essential in helping block for the No. 1 scoring and passing offense in the conference. Not to mention his offensive line allowed the fewest sacks in the conference that season. 2017 is no different. After being voted team captain, he was named the Lone Star Conference Offensive Lineman of the Year and first team all-LSC. Then there’s little known fact: He ranks 11th in the LSC in average punt yardage at 35.5 yards per punt.

Nice!!

Put him in to block on a power formation and then throw a pass to him!

That's the truth.   I have started to lose some of the weight I needed to.  The best way I've found to lose the weight is to stop eating anything I actually enjoy eating.

That's right, If it taste good it's not on a diet menu.

I dropped a little over 65 lbs. in a two year program. The program was don't eat any snack foods, sweets and no soda pop. The only way to lose weight healthy is to burn more calories than you take in. There are no healthy short cuts.

When the doctor informed me I had diabetes and said I would lose weight one of two ways.

1- lose weight through diet and proper eating habits

2- Having one or both of my legs amputated later in life.

Needles to say I wanted to keep my legs.

Another team captain.  CB definitely likes his character guys.

I think we'll see far less penalties and false starts this year.  Discipline will be foremost in the minds of a lot of the kids brought in.

Just my opinion.
