Good stuff TKnight! Glad to see these guys do well. Braden Smith and Darius Leonard should sign soon as well. With Smith practicing, I'm assuming there will be no problems with him signing at all and Leonard is doing graduation stuff.

Jared, would you please just simply reply for these long posts instead of including the whole content of the original post. It's hard to read the topic if most of it is repeating content. And it's actually harder to find your own response as well. Thank you man!

He looks ks like an only child living in the country with no other kids around.  Maybe next practice there will be 2,or 3 that stay:

ironic how the "safest" guy on the rookie roster is working the hardest.

Remember the way the "nasty" rubbed off from Ray Lewis?

i'm hoping some of this guy's attitude and tenacity rubs off on our OL.  It should.

Hearing coach mention the power of both Nelson and Smith as players who impressed him on the 1st. day has me thinking that Smith could also be a day one starter.  At least I hope it turns out that way.

Hey, if Jack Mewhort is healthy AND he’s a backup, life is sweet!

We have 3 lines worth of bodies on the roster right now where all of Slauson, Mewhort or even Howard could be subs:

LT - Castonzo / Clark / Burwell

LG - Nelson / Slauson / Vujnovich

C -   Kelly / Bond / Fabiano

RG - Smith / Mewhort / Glowinski

RT - Good / Howard / Haeg

Lol... as a Colts fan, this feels like a dream. I can't remember the last time I looked at the O-line and saw, legitimately, 11-15 potential starters.

Burwell, Clark, Fabiano, and Glowinski are the only 4 who are unknown quantities. Heck, even though it wouldn't be the best thing for Vujnovich to start, he at least played an entire season last year.

It's a new world, Colts nation!

Glowinski started for 2+ years in Seattle as well.....he's kind of a darkhorse candidate if both Slauson and Mewhort don't fully come back from last years injuries...

For once cuts at the OL position may be difficult for a DIFFERENT reason.

haha

Smith is strong and athletic, he has everything to be a good NFL player, but he needs to work on his technic, he is a bit too raw just yet. Mewhort if healthy is a much better player ... right now.

Neither Mewhort or Castonzo have played along side this kind of talent. It will be interesting to see how/if they use Mewhort and if having a guy like Nelson helps Castonzo.

AC looked a lot better with Mewhort next to him than he did with Vuj.  So yeah Nelson will also help a lot especially since AC will be able to take a full kick step instead of having to shorten it so he can stay closer to the inside.

I fully expect Mewhort to the be the RG if he's healthy and that is the only question regarding Mew's game.  If his knees become to painful again it will be interesting to see who the right guard will be.  I think if Good is the RT then there is a strong chance that Smith would become the RG, if Good is injured and Haeg is the RT then I would expect Slausen to become the RG.
