Bluefire4
Quenton Nelson was definitely the BPA. I do think the offensive line depth is better than the linebacker depth, but there are plenty of good linebackers left. I really wish Chubb was available at 6. I think pass rush is very weak this year.

It sounds like the offers weren't as good of a haul as Ballard was hoping for. Plus Nelson isn't just any OG, he's a generation OG that should be an All-Pro for MANY years.

And Buffalo gives up 2 seconds to move up to 7, and wanted to move up to 5. So Nelson is worth #12 and 2 seconds? Aces101
So, we could’ve received the 12th pick and 2 second round picks for our pick? That would have been very tempting to me. we could’ve had the number 12 pick and 5 second round picks?

No more flashy Dorsett "speedsters" or Bjorne Werner "Edge Rushers". I'll take substance over flash all day long! 1

A bird in hand is worth two in the Bush. No guarantee a once in a decade player in a position of great need is available. A solid (not great) o line helps the offense. Luck has shown he can win in shootouts. We’ll need that. A great d player can keep the opponent from dropping 20+ on you but you still need an o to put up the points. This keeps Luck healthy, opens up the run game, and wins games. It’s what we need, maybe not we wanted.
