I dunno , I’m not going to pretend I’ve watched tape on this dude. Why are they looking to move him?

Because he sucked at LT I assume. Change of scenery and different coaches and could turn things around. But definitely needs to move to RT.

Just look at the Giants fan forum and you'll see why I don't want him. Below is a quote from one of their members to give you an idea :D

"Getting a 6th or 7th would be enough for this waste of space. Get him out of the locker room! He stinks and he doesnt care to get better. Use that pick to draft our future kicker lol. Bye Bye Ereck!"

Anybody suggesting that INDY add Flowers as a LT or RT is clearly a. Off their meds, b. needs to increase their dosage, or c. Never watched any Giants games recently.

READ My Lips: Absolutely under no circumstances do we bring that bust into Lucas Oil Stadium.

That even as a joke is no laughing matter.

He was severely overdrafted and I think is playing out of position. He's had lower body tightness issues and struggled to get proper depth quick enough to hold up against pass rushers. He would be a much better guard, especially since he's a strong run blocker and has pretty good short area quickness. I don't know that I would trade for him though. Maybe get him as a FA or off waivers if he's cut, but I wouldn't give up draft capital for him.

Flowers was a huge reach at #9 in the 2015 draft. Especially since Todd Gurley went #10. Flowers was supposed to be their RT but when their LT Beatty tore his pec, Flowers was forced into the LT position. He struggled, and the Giants were stubborn to admit the mistake and allowed the issue to fester. Flowers, aside from his struggles, also had an incident in which he shoved a Giants reporter. He may be worth a shot on a team with OL stability looking for depth, but not here where we need quality starters with no baggage.

His hand usage is awful. That would get exposed more at G.

If he was any good why would the Giants want to part ways with him? The last thing this team needs right now is another team’s castoffs.

Umm...signing another team's castoff has Ballard written all over it. However, in this case, I would pass.

    • Tobin did an excellent job...r.i.p
    • https://www.nfl.com/news/bill-tobin-longtime-nfl-executive-dies-at-age-83   He drafted some all time great players like Harrison, and of course is famous for his verbal match with Mel Kiper. RIP!
    • Then begs the question. Do u want to say draft a MJH at 4 and turn around in 4 years or would u say draft Turner and pay him 30mill in 4 years? All day every day for the franchise rush end. I am not a big believer in 30 mill for a wr. Reid is a fantastic coach and look what he did with Hill.
    • I literally just posted that clip, it's where the conversation about QBs started.
    • Funny you brought this up.  I just listened to an interview Ballard did today with Rich Eisen.  He asked him if he has given any thought on how many quarterbacks will be taken before our pick and how many does he think.  He said sure we go through those evaluations.  It helps us with for planning purposes.  He asked him how many.  4 or 5 or 6?   He laughed out loud at 6.  He said Rich if it’s 6 we will be so excited.  Let’s hope so.  He also said the draft board is not yet set.  Won’t be until the night before the draft.  He also said he has had multiple conversations with other GM’s concerning the draft.  Preparing themselves for opportunities that could take place.  And they will continue up until the draft starts.  He said trade conversations won’t really materialize until you are within three picks of any trade.  Giving you time to finalize it.  Interesting interview.  Oh he pretty much ruled out moving up for Harrison.   Going up into the top of the draft would be very costly for him he said.  Thinks he’s a great talent but he thinks he’s pretty much out of our reach.
