With the 3rd pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, The New York Jets select (via PM):

Josh Rosen, QB, UCLA

@SolidGold and The Browns are on the clock next

So how does it work if someone's time slot is from 12pm-2pm but the last pick was made at 945am.  Do they in effect have from 945am to 2pm?  Or is their 2 hour selection window now from 945am to 1145 am?

I was wondering the same thing. I would think if they draft sooner, awesome. If not, they still have until their time slot?

Breaking news from Adam Schefter:

We have our first draft day trade.

We have all been talking about the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins moving up but it seems like the Arizona Cardinals have made the first move and moved up to the #7 spot in a trade with the Tampa Bay Bucs.

Tampa Bay Bucs get: Picks 15, 47, 97

Arizona Cardinals get: Pick 7

Now, the Arizona Cardinals are in a prime spot to get their franchise QB for the future.

Report from Tampa Bay: People from the Buccaneers Draft Room say that the team had a couple of great offers, but after one fell through, the decision was easy. The one big point: a trade down was necessary, seeing as the team had traded a 3rd and 4th away already and needed more mid-round picks.

With the 4th pick the Cleveland Browns select G Q. Nelson

I do not think this is what the Browns will do.

Sitting a QB for a year worked well for Carson Palmer, and for Philip Rivers, and then Aaron Rodgers too (though that was because of Favre). Tyrod Taylor was never signed to be a long term solution, the Browns would be unwise to not invest in a QB with such high picks.

Just my two cents that this is not probably what GM Dorsey would do.

not to mention they don't even need a guard. they have bitonio and zeitler two really good guards and I doubt he can play T

I think solidgold is just trying to mess up the draft lol. They would take a QB, and he was just snatching Nelson from me.

The pick didn't make any sense, even if Chubb was out of spite, passing on Saquon just seems too far fetched to me.  They have to come out of this draft with at least 1 offensive playmaker.

Yep. Chubb and a QB makes sense. Barkley and a QB makes sense. Even Chubb and Barkley makes sense, but Chubb and Nelson is ridiculous. That gives you no elite RB or QB in the draft and doesn't improve the team much.

The Arizona Cardinals thank their lucky stars that the QB they want is still available.

With the 7th pick of the 2018 NFL Draft, The Arizona Cardinals select:

Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma

@CR91 and The Bears are on the clock next.

wth this draft is already a  mess there is no way the Browns don't take QB somewhere.

I could see the Browns take Barkley and Chubb specifically, but that's the only non-QB combination that would happen. No way they go Chubb and Nelson and pass on both QB and RB. He's just causing chaos by taking those two, to me and crazycolt, to see how we react.

Thanks, Lord knows the Colts can use a linebacker. IMO it was between him and Ward. I just picked him because of his ability to play all over the field.

You were in a terrible spot there after the Browns did that garbage. I had to take Barkley and it left you with a bunch of guys that were basically the same skill level. I would of tried to trade before picking so quick, but I don't know if you tried to already.

It's OK JC. Me and him know exactly why he made those picks.

He is just doing it out of spite for Colts fans on this forum, IMO.

It's starting to go to far and sound insane. I shouldn't have to explain my picks or base my picks off what works best for you guys. It's not fair how im being attacked for taking 2 players that I feel are great. It's my draft board. I have a QB and a backup already. I have a RB already. The RB class is deep and IMO im not missing out on a Peyton Manning or even a Andrew Luck so im ok with MY picks. The attacks on me for my picks is immature and premature. I have several more picks. And it's been no fights and I hold no grudges on this forum. I'm a Colts fan and always have been. We are not working together in the draft though. Some of the people fussing I actually tried to trade back. It's a draft and nothing is guaranteed. Why make this personal or take it personal.
