Tennessee Titans Unveil New Team Uniforms Ahead Of 2018 NFL Season

Hi, Colts fans!    Two AFC South rivals, one of them the Tennessee Titans, finally unveiled their new team uniforms to commemorate their upcoming 20th season in Nashville, and ahead of both the 2018 NFL Draft and NFL season. 

 

There are  also still reports the Jaguars might  follow suit with the Titans, and similarly update their team uniforms before the upcoming 2018 NFL season by this summer.

Wow...I like the look of them. Love the dark blue helmets and how the Titans logo pops against it.  Very nice upgrade.

They had some of the ugliest uniforms, so anything would have been an upgrade.  But they went beyond that, IMO.  Nicely done.

Their light blue jerseys with the navy blue helmet does not match at all. I disapprove.

I think they are an improvement.   But the light blue is still bad.   Looks too much like an arena football team.

I like the dark blue and the helmets.

Very cool like how they incorporate the sword on the shoulder the new helmet is pretty sweet

I really don't have an opinion as I see uniform changes as a marketing tool designed to create more revenues.  I'm not buying any of these jerseys so I don't really care.

 

On a related note, however, does anyone find it a bit odd that he NFL has launched an investigation into the fact that a photo of the new Titan's jersey was leaked online?  Assuming they locate/determine the "pee-on" who leaked this, what is the NFL gonna do to him/her?  Will they ban this person from ever buying a ticket to an NFL stadium?...or possibly ban the person from ever buying NFL apparel?...or possibly summons this person to jail time? <end sarcasm>

 

I'm just not sure what their motive is for such an investigation....any ideas?  Seems like overkill to me...

No you aren't alone. I'd scrap the logo and colorway even the name. I'm more of animal for teams but thats just me. They should be the Tennesse defenders and incorporate the Vols logo or something that represents the state a little better. 

 

But you are not alone they havent had any gear i'd put on since they left Houston the Oilers logo and colorway was a lot better than this stuff they have to rep the team now.

I'm sure Titans fans will love it as they haven't been there long enough to  call it a tradition.  If you changed the Packer's unis, it would be a problem.

Years ago when my wife and I were passing through Nashville, we stopped on a Sunday when the Rams and Titans played (the same year that they played in the SB in Atlanta).  We went to the Hard Rock Cafe and *-chatted with locals (I'm also a former Tennesseean).  A group of Titans fans left the same time we did and encountered the missing member of their group who was getting out of a parked car. 

 

He was dressed in a belted toga with a fake Thracian sword, wore lace sandal boots, and a Roman gladiator helmet. 

"Hey guys!"  he yelled out.

"Brandon!  We're going to watch the Titans....not the gladiators," said one of his dear, drunken friends.

Everything looks cooler when you put a black background behind it with a techno soundtrack.

I don't get it. These outfits look dumb and are nearly the exact same. Call me when they decide to go the Seahawks route with bright green -- you know, ACTUAL change.

The Titans should go with a more mythological titans style.    Earth tones and such.    It would be much better than the god awful light blue crap.  

 

The only downfall with embracing the mythology is this:

The Titans—six sons and six daughters—were the children of Uranus and Gaea.

Yeah I don't think that's a good idea.

 

This guy does not make for a very good mascot.

Too much going on on the shoulder. The two-toned sword was a bad idea. The helmet looks slick as a standalone but doesn't really match the blue on the rest of the uniform. Pants and numbers look nice though. The powder blue uni's not so much.
