Just curious guys..... in this mock did Miami wind up with RGIII at the #2 spot AND Michael Floyd at #8? And if so..... what did the Rams get in return, because it looks like the Rams got nothing in exchange in either the 1st or 2nd rounds.

Did I miss something in other posts or the previous thread detailing that trade?

whoever took trent richardson did awful...that is way to high for a rb. you won't even want to sign him to second contract....

lol what are you talking about? Have you not seen Richardson play? You might want to rethink what you said if you haven't really seen him play multiple games. Freeman needs help on offense and Richardson will bring him some of the help he needs. Blount isn't an every down back and needs some help as well. The Bucs will have a reliable running game with these two and will give the Bucs the offensive help they need. You can ask any person who or any scout that Richardson is not a RB that comes by often.

and like i said the team won't want give him a long term contract after his initial one is over. not because of his ability but because they know rbs take a beating and wear down quickly and they aren't worth that kind of money......so why take one that high in the draft???

That's what Blount is for. It's not like Richardson is on his own there. While he will get a majority of carries he will have help with Blount there. Richardson didn't have alot of carries in college compared to other RBs due to him and Ingram splitting them and even in his final year there they didn't push him that hard. You take one that high in the draft, because they are special and Richardson is a special player.

if he is taking the majority of carries he will get beat up...that's what happens to nfl running backs. it's not 1990 anymore

Thank you for stating the obvious.

If he's taking a majority if carries he will also be likely to gain a large amount of yards, if he's taking the majority of carries he will also be likely to score touchdowns, if he's taking the majority of carries and producing he will bring balance to the bucs offense etc etc.

He brings something to the bucs that they don't have. If you ask the vikings if they would draft AP 7th overall I'm pretty sure they'd say heck yea. Richardson, AP, etc are players that you take that chance on because they can be great running backs. It might not be the 1990s anymore but guess what NFL teams still run the ball and last I checked having a good RB is still important in the league.

Of course Richardson is going to get beat up. Every player in the NFL gets beat up , but you don't see teams straying away O lineman and D lineman because of the beatings they take on their knees.

for you the obvious needs to be stated. everyone gets beat up in the nfl, but a lot of running backs are shot before they hit thirty.....while other position players are are playing better than ever. and yes, teams are staying away from running backs. there was one running back drafted in the first round last year and it's likely richardson will be the only one taken this year. fact is if you have a good offensive line the running game will come....and those lineman can play well into their mid 3o's.
