Colts trade picks with jets

I am disappointed that we did not get the Jets' first round pick in 2019.

 

I would have been happy with #6 and #37 this year and their first in 2019.

Now, let's trade back with the Bills for their 2 first round picks and either a second or third round pick.

A key here is the tremendous opportunity that #6 pick still gives to the Colts. If Chubb or Nelson is not there, but the last of the four QB's is, you can extort multiple picks from Buffalo. It's Coltsmas!

Based on the recent FA signings I’m really hoping we get the opportunity to get Nelson. I agree with you and think we are in a great position to still get a premium player. I know Ballard and his group went to go look at Guice so maybe they think the gap between him and Barkley isn’t so drastic or they have some other prospects in mind. Lots of wholes to fill and this gives him some good ammunition plus a ton of roll over cap space to pursue something next year.

That is a whale of trade.  The Colts now have 4 top 50 picks.  Including back to back at the top of the 2nd round.
