The Film Room: Tremaine Edmunds

Recommended Posts

Just watched this earlier. A thought:

If we get Hitchens in FA, he would be a great mentor for this kid. If we were going to surround Edmunds with 2 high quality LBs, then sure, grab him and start him right away as he can learn without being too exposed. If we don't, though, he could still come in and start, but we might let a few more big plays through while he learns. IMO he has the most potential of any LB coming into the draft since Luke Kuechly, but he is super raw and still just a kid.

I was thinking the same - if we get Hitchens, draft Edmunds and let him learn from him ... I think Edmunds will be way too good even at his current raw form to not start very early in our otherwise putrid LB-core. I think you can put him at SAM next to Hitchens and let him play and get on-field experience...
