You should really have that checked by an interventional neuro-radiologist.

Indeed I should, I'll just ride it out. Nah on a serious note, there just feels like time is moving at an infinitely slow pace.

Just imagine if we would have been the #2 spot and say like Minnesota was #1. Everyone would be offering us the moon for RG3. The Rams actually have hit the motherload. They will have their choice of huge draft pick offers....more than likely accepting Clevelands #4 and #22 and their next years #1 which will likely be a top 10 pick too since Cleveland is in the same division as Pitt, Bal, and an up and coming Cincy team who is like $40 million under the cap with two first rd picks. St Louis is set to take Blackmon at 4 and probably a OL/DL at #22 and with the first pick in rd 2 could likely receive trade requests for that one from teams like Atlanta or Oakland. The Rams could possibly turn the #2 pick in the draft and #33 pick into the draft into possibly 5 or 6 picks and STILL get their target star in Blackmon who they want all along. WOW!! No wonder Jeff Fisher went there.

Um, people would be offering us those "huge draft pick offers" if we weren't set on taking a QB. Being #1 or #2 has nothing to do with that.

My brain is about ready to explode again. It's getting closer to March 8 atleast though. Maybe I'll be able to survive without giving myself aneurysm.

At least you had visions like Eli Stone. .) /Sarcasm

Take it easy, only 9 days ahead.

I feel bad for em. I think they're the most snake bitten franchise in the league (along with the Bills). They've been bad for as long as I can remember.

At this point I think they have been losing for so long that part of the problem is that it has become ingrained in the culture of the team (especially in Cleveland's case) ... it's almost like they expect that they are going to be bad, and it becomes self-fulfilling prophecy. Part of what makes great teams great is always thinking they can win no matter the score ... ie. the game where Colts beat the Dolphins while possesing the ball for less the 15 mins.

It largely depends on the free agent market this year. Matt Flynn (assuming Peyton is back with the Colts -- which I firmly believe he will be) will probably be the most sought after free-agent QB this year. I don't think Shanahan will want him bad enough for his offensive scheme, but Miami may, seeing as how Philbin is their new head coach and he coached Rodgers and Flynn together during his time with the Packers. I don't see Cleveland being a big player for Flynn simply because I think they feel McCoy is a better fit in their system than Flynn would be. Buffalo could decide to pursue Flynn, but Fitzpatrick showcased potential last season well-deserving of a second look. That leaves Seattle, and I sincerely doubt Carroll will be willing to pay as much as is expected for Flynn's market value when he's already sacrificed for Whitehurst and Jackson, not to mention he'll probably wait until next year to pull the trigger and trade up for Matt Barkley (makes sense, right?).

Leading up to the draft, a number of things could happen. The highest probable move that may occur is Washington trading up four spots to the second overall pick to take Robert Griffin. RG3 would be a great fit in Shanahan's offensive scheme. They'll likely have to give up three 1st round picks (including their first round pick this year, they essentially give up a net of two first round picks), one 2nd round pick and a conditional 2nd/3rd round pick.

Aside from that, the next scenario would be Miami trading up six spots to the second overall pick, likely having to give up, in addition to the picks listed previously, an additional second round pick to get their guy, presumably RG3.

The third most likely scenario is that St. Louis won't be able to trade the pick due to the farm of draft picks teams would have to give away to trade up, and they'll have to settle for Justin Blackmon or Matt Kalil, essentially giving the Browns RG3.

Getting into the lesser-likely scenarios, I'll start with Cleveland trading up from fourth overall to second overall, probably having to give up two 1st round picks (net one 1st round pick i.e. next year's first round pick) and one 2nd round pick. Unless Cleveland knows for sure that there are teams out there bidding for the 2nd overall pick, they can sit back and let RG3 fall into their hands as neither St. Louis nor Minnesota has the feasability to draft another QB this high.

Lastly in my opinion, the Bills would pull the trigger, trading up from tenth overall to second overall, while in addition to the amount of picks listed for Washington, they would probably have to throw in a conditional 1st/2nd round pick. I don't see RG3 as sought after for Chan Gailey's offense, but as it is still a possibility I have this scenario listed as least likely in my opinion.

depends on what the Rams are looking for, will someone give them a high pick and some cash? the lower the pick, the more the cash... so what are they going after, picks or cash? They could really use that #2, so I think it's a crazy decision on their part anyway

Normally, I would agree with you 100% MIColtsFan because your football knowledge is top notch. But, the Rams has so many holes to fill that trading that #2 pick for more choices in later rounds makes more sense to me. As a franchise, the Rams have had a high ranking position in the draft for several years now. Clearly, taking the best player available is not working for them as a football team. If any coach can turn this franchise back into a respectable organization again, Jeff Fisher is the man to do it.

And they've gone through coaches like mad. No coach has been able to fully set up his system and the way he wants his team to play.

Depending on the deal that the Rams get it might be really scary what we've given away at the end of the day 1 of the draft.

The Rams are believed to be asking for a deal structured similarly to what the

San Diego Chargers

received when they traded the draft rights of

Eli Manning

to the

New York Giants

in 2004. Manning was the No. 1 overall pick that year, and the

Giants shipped the No. 4 pick, a 2005 first-round pick and their 2004 third- and fourth-round picks to San Diego

.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

The source told the Sun-Sentinel that the Rams are asking for a

bundle of picks equivalent to the value of the No. 1 overall pick in the draft

--------------------------------------------------------

Having more picks is vital to the Rams' ability to rebuild, but the franchise must maximize each pick. The Rams aren't going to be rebuilt overnight, so they must make each pick the right one -- not caring about position. Obviously, this is an enormous draft for Fisher and new GM Les Snead, and value picks are essential.

The Rams know they are

sitting on a gold mine of picks,

So wouldn't the #1 be worth 2 gold mines of picks that could help Manning finish his contract here with multiple rings?

u would think it to some extent

and what did all learn from this boys and girl?!......never put all your money into one man, yeah build the team around manning....mhhm manning was the team

It's more of a faulty offensive system than it is building around Manning. The Patriots offense is built around Brady, but they run a system that is more QB friendly as do the Packers with Rodgers.

The offense wouldn't have dropped off so much last year if we were running a version of the WCO, where a QB2 has a far better chance of coming in and having more positive results.

Manning has cultivated his offense for 13 years and to ask someone to come in and run it is beyond stupid.
