This picture was the exact face all Colts fans made when they stumbled thru this thread. BTW Buddy Lee, We all get sarcasm as much as anybody else, just let me know when you say something funny. Thanks.

Even Chewbacca is like just stop before you say something so absurd Mr. Lee that nobody ever takes you seriously again. I know; I know. It was a long season & our brains aren't in peak conditioning mode after the SB Buddy. It's alright. I forgive you. It happens to the best of us from time to time. Carry on.

Robert Kraft, by coming in so very late in the game and swiping the head coach that we were patiently waiting for, got his sweet revenge for Deflate-gate.

How about this chess move.... Trade Andrew Luck to the Jags for their next eight years' first round picks.

The Pats would never win another AFC Championship. Brady would retire early. No more rings. Pats Nation would go into a deep depression.

The Colts would recover with all those draft picks and, if they aren't wasted, field a great team in five years.

Very unrealistic, I know. But just imagine.     :coltshelmet:

How about Jacksonville trade is their defense for the next 8 picks and we dominate the Pats? Why would we want to make our division better? Such weird thinking! It might not happen this year but we will get NE back...don’t worry.

What I have learned...

I haven't initiated but a few threads. Even though I strongly put forward that this wasn't an actual proposition only a possible knife in the back to Kraft and the Pats. I have seen many, many such things on this board over the many years. I clearly stated that it was just a near-term rant. Not a serious proposal. It is beyond the realm of the hatred that I have received from board members who clearly never read my original OP, but just spewed on top of others spewing. Bad news!

Clearly, you have not my posts on this thread which explain.

Sorry to pile on here Buddy but maybe if you had titled the thread differently... this could have been avoided. I am all for unrealistic scenarios but i mean come on. You had to have known this was a possible outcome. It is the internet and people behave differently when behind a keyboard. Try not to take offense to the barbs and jokes...

The Colts news was so depressing. So my headline was intended to make it aggressive and positive. It was all about Colts fans to get out of the doldrums and become aggressive.

I did . It's just stupid even if it was unrealistic and hypothetical. Why post it.

I just felt it. I felt it. Like I said in my thread there are many who have very different views of what this board should be. X's and O's, scouting reports by NFL, by amateurs? There is no consensus on this board.Have you even read 75% of the posts on this board.?  I have gotten a great deal of ad hominem posts from this fictional post of mine.

Yet, there are those who propose to exclude me for putting forward any idea as a Colts fan even though I do it with full tongue in cheek. Is that lost in human culture? A shame.

It wasn't. I was just reacting to the Pats burn. I normally post on x's and o's or on Barkley who I followed closely for years and knew that I know more than most on this board.

I have described this thread as a rant. I was clear. You have clearly taken it for what it is. Thank you for that.

The world is your oyster enjoy , Thank You for gracing us mere mortals with your wealth of knowledge ..

You know, I am so very, very tired of these ad hominem attacks. I prefaced my OP as a fantasy and my subject line clearly shows that it is us/me against Kraft. I guess that isn't enough for you.

I forgive you too. I have never attacked anyone with an opinion. Certainly not on this board where an entire range of opinions are expressed. Mine wasn't even an opinion. Just feeling stabbed in the back. My feelings disparaged.

You feel like you've been attacked? I will admit that several people including myself didn't subscribe to your point of view or attempt at humor that fell on several deaf ears as various replies to this thread confirmed & reinforced.

I find your fake outrage a bit much considering that you have less than 300 posts on this forum. Look, I didn't care for 1 post you wrote. Please stop acting like I ran over your childhood dog or something. I'm sure that there will be future responses from you on the forum I will like down the road. I highly doubt your feelings are all that disparaged.

I'm not out to sabotage anybody's creativity or freedom of expression Buddy Lee. Life goes on...

Remember, it's just 1 guy's opinion. There's no need to let my take on something you wrote ruin your whole day or even weekend. Life's too short to care. I said my peace you said yours. Turning the page now.

Good heavens...

I agree. The whole Colts , McDaniels and Kraft issue is not even worth discussing. The Colts will move on from the actions of  two lowlife individuals and select a head coach. We did get screwed but we also were saved from a man with no character leading our team. I haven't bothered to weigh in much because it kind of is what it is ...what can you really say ?

It still makes me chuckle when folks use the ole "I have a right to my opinion" statement....but they get bent when someone gives and "opinion to their opinion".

Don't want to get pushed? Don't get in the mosh pit. Starting a thread that involves trading a player that is dear to most Colt fans heart....it like diving into the mosh pit.

It's not lost, but if you post something ridiculous, you don't really get to control the response.  that's particularly when they say your post is ridiculous after you've admitted as such.  Joke or not, that should not be lost on you, and if it is, glad you chose us for your first trip on the internet.

Thank you. I appreciate who you are. Kindness is not always welcome on this board.

Here I am! Crucify me if you will!

Kraft is a piece of trash. He, The Hood, and Joshy probably had this planned all season long to get one over on the Colts for deflate-gate. Too bad our piece of trash GM is gone and was actually replaced by a decent man. The whole Patriots organization is a bunch of sore losers and a bunch of crappy individuals. They all deserve each other.

THE RIVALRY IS BACK ON!

    • Taking NE and Brady out of this because I think what they did was unique.   My observation is that the teams with the elite QB have more success BEFORE that QB gets paid his contract than after he gets paid.   SB teams have won, IMO, because they have gotten elite play from some players at the same time not compensating those players for the elite play.  They produce more than what the team pays them that season.   SEA was better when Russell Wilson was playing near elite QB before his contract. PITT was better when Ben was younger not being paid. I know injuries played a part, but the early Grigson Luck years were much better for the Colts than the $125M years. KC rode an elite Mahomes on a rookie contract to domination over recent seasons. BUFF is enjoying Allen's low pay day relative to his talent and play.  What will happen to them when he gets paid?   (and another version of that formula, even though Denver paid PM, they got a huge boost from an elite Von Miller playing an impactful position on a cheap rookie contract)   OTOH.   NO has been paying Brees and hasn't quite gotten there consistently. ATL pays Ryan and got their once. PITT has been playing Ben but they have not been an elite team with him at that pay scale. I suspect that Lamar will never earn top tier QB money, yet BALT will be right there with all of those teams.   We made our bed when we picked a G at 6, and will pay him elite Olineman money.  I don't see where we are going to be putting the ball in our QBs hands every play and ask him to win the game when we are paying a G to also run block at an elite level.  We will probably always be more of a running team than the average playoff team because of our investment in our G.  Taking the ball out of our QBs hands means that we will not also never truly need that top guy.   And we will win with Wentz if he outplays what has been invested in him.  If he plays like a 3rd rounder and future 1st (just for starting, IOW, because he happens to be the best QB on the roster) then we probably wont go deep into the playoffs. He will always be compensated less than top tier simply because he will be getting old.   Maybe we should have taken Fields and hoped he gave us elite play on the cheap before we'd have to decide between him and Nelson.
    • I know what a strange baseball season so far. The Cubs have a good team overall, we are like all the other good teams in the NL basically. We have our ups and downs but that is baseball with a 162 game season. The only team in the NL right now that can say they have played great are the Giants at 45-25. Looking at all the good teams in the NL, they are all 8 games above .500 with the exception of the Dodgers who are 42-27. Cubs are 39-31, Padres 40-32, and Mets 35-27. So the other teams fans feel our misery when a loss happens as well. We really need to just start playing more consistent. It needs to start tomorrow with the Marlins who we are much better than.   If someone told me before the season started that we would be in 1st place in the NL Central through 70 games on June 19th, I would take it. That is the extreme positive way to look at this.
    • Who wouldve guessed that the only win for NL Central tonight would be the Pirates beating the Indians
    • Brewers just lost to the Rockies again , we are still in 1st place in the NL Central. Cards lost as well and the Reds are down 5-2 to the Padres.
    • It was that comebacker. That seemed to effect his play after. Hopefully he's alright and returns back to before
