You throw out "we" pretty easily. Didn't "we" also supposedly cheat by adding sound to our stadium sound system? Wait......maybe that was just an accusation by the Pats. Makes one think....

In the end, should he cheat here and not get fired, I will end my fan support...fair enough?

If you are talking about the infamous crowd noise glitch in 07 (I think) that was proven to be a broadcast glitch, the colts have never cheated.

Bill Polian:  Mcdaniels The RIght Fit

well, he is a Hippocrate:

That same year, according to former Colts GM Bill Polian, who served for years on the competition committee and is now an analyst for ESPN, several teams complained that the Patriots had videotaped signals of their coaches.

he's the right fit if you want to start spygate 3, that's is for sure.

The Colts are not as innocent as some people want to believe. Here is a list of some of the things the Colts have been accused of.

http://yourteamcheats.com/IND

Joe Montana, who is widely respected and looked at as one of the league's "Golden Boys" came out and said that "if you ain't cheating you ain't trying".

https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/joe-montana-on-patriots-if-you-aint-cheating-you-aint-trying/

In my opinion, every team skirts the rules in some form or another. If the Colts win the Super Bowl I'm not going to be worried about what other teams fans think of us. Do you think Patriots fans really care what we think about their Lombardi Trophies? Nope. Not one bit.

the link is slow, heres some  text: McDaniels went 11-17 and was fired during his second season in Denver, a week after the NFL fined McDaniels after one of his staffers was caught illegally video-taping an opponent. Neither the NFL nor the Broncos could determine that McDaniels ordered the taping, but if we’re not going to give Belichick the benefit of the doubt on all the cheating that happens under his watch, let’s not give the benefit of the doubt to McDaniels just because he’s about to take over the Colts

Not at all. I think Deflategate was a silly stupid waste of time and money. I'm more embarassed and ashamed at the Colts involvement in that mess than I would be over something like Spygate. We just looked petty and pathetic. We were "sore losers" in Deflategate. We couldn't beat the Patriots on the field so they had to be cheating. To me that is more beneath the standards of the Indianapolis Colts than anything Coach McDaniels may have done. What is your response to the accusations against the Colts through the years? Are we cheaters or because you are a Colts fan you look past them?

Dude grow up. Everyone cheats Yes EVEN THE COLTS. In 1998 Peyton manning and his line supposedly used hearing devices to block out crowd noises and amplify Peyton's voice. This is cheating. Everyone cheats you just like to point out the Pats bc you hate them. So get off your high horse and stop crying.

Funny thing is if you think something is going on you take measures to protect yourself. Mr. Polian did this during training camp in 2001. The Colts were trying out QB Mark Rypien and Mr. Polian ordered all fans and media type individuals from the practice field. He stated he didn't want other teams being able to video the practice.

You misunderstood my slant on it. I didn't say we cheated....nor did I ever think it. I was pointing out the fans of one team saying the other one cheated. You said, ".we kinda made a big deal about that here in colts land,"....and they kind of made a big deal about that issue over there.

I have never heard of any confirmed incident of the colts cheating, thus I have nothing to look past.

the key word there is supposedly...there has never been a confirmed incident of colts cheating. no cache of videotapes, no coach admitting one of his guys filmed a walkthrough like McCheater did. if there ever was, I'd be terribly disappointed.

Honest question: What's your angle here? Is everyone supposed to agree with you and start hating McDaniels?

I'm trying to give you the benefit of the doubt, but I'm having a hard time understanding your end game here. Unless it's just to get a reaction on a message board... but again, I'm trying to give you a little credit.

his lineman is the one that admitted to it. And in Denver it was an assistant that videotaped the practice not Mcdaniels. How can you prove Mcdaniels had any knowledge of it? Double standards much?

2 hours ago, eseae said:

well, he got fined for videotaping other teams play calls in Denver, AFTER BB/pats  had already been caught for doing the same thing in spygate.

so there's that.

we've all said the same thing about the pats, they cheat, once a cheater always a cheater, so now we have a convicted and admitted cheater coaching our team. great, just great.

now, if we ever win a superbowl, the colts will be called cheaters too and everyone will want an * next to any accomplishments under McCheater. I would if I was in any other state or a fan of any team other than the pats or colts.

And anyone wh reads this board can hold our accusations against the pats against the colts now.

this Hiring, if it happens makes me sick, as it should all of you who have been saying:

the pats cheat every year and just dont get caught other than spygate and deflategate

that they still videotape things,

that they srtill deflate balls, (if you don't think McCheater, the OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR, didn't know about this, then you are kidding yourself)

that they bug the opposing teams locker room, (ask peyton and dungy, they'll tell you its true)

that they mess with the signals for coach communications, (ask tomlin, he'll tell you its true)

they pay off the refs

etc etc etc etc etc etc

So, now we have a decision to make:

either the pats weren't really cheaters outside of the deflagate and spygate and we admit that those scandals were overblown to downplay them and thus McCheater is clean so the colts will be clean too...this would be a complete contradiction of what 99.99999% of us have said about the pats over the years, or----

they were cheating every year, (this would be consistent with what 99.99999% of us have said about the pats over the years)  and the colts are now as dirty as the pats and McCheater,  because once a cheater, always a cheater ( see Denver spygate 2 under McCheater)

what's it gonna be folks?

our front office just legitimatized everything the pats have done in the Brady/BB era

pardon me, i'm going to go puke.

So you're argument is not that he's not qualified for the job, but you're afraid we'll be branded as cheaters.  That's the worst one yet

Tarik Glenn admitted that the Colts used listening devices to help with crowd noise! Time to be terribly disappointed.
