Colts @ Ravens Saturday Game Day Thread

Recommended Posts

We have brought pressure on only a couple of plays.

Every pass play the Ravens draw up is quick hitting. We need to just come after Flacco, and take the chance of giving up something big.

We are coaching scared!

Let these players ball out. Put it on them to win today!

I hate this soft zone defense

It sucks to witness the coward play-calling. I would rather lose by 3 or 4 scores than play prevent defense all game.

The coaches have absolutely no faith at all in these players.

The only thing it prevents is getting your defense off the field

Dungy won a bunch of battles with it. Could be 9-7, but half the secondary was playing bingo or something and gave up a TD.

we cant bring pressure and cover....we don't have the athletes

You have to try to win,..not just open the door for scores

Pagano;s making it rain, too

That plays into the Colts' strength against the run. Best move he's made in a while.

I would rather lose trying to win. Our coaches are not giving our defense a chance to make a play. They have no confidence in these players.

We have to come after Flacco or we have no chance.

Pagano moved the game to Baltimore so our fans could not attend

Why is Aiken still on this team . Guy has cost them at least 2 wins this year.

I thought it was a terrible signing.

Not that I am always right, but the Ravens let him walk for a reason.

I disagree ..not against this team....

Confidence? Most of our players on he field are backups on defense

Ravens aren't explosive on offense....no safety help and single coverage in the secondary probably guarantees losing big

He can't catch the football. He's useless.

Heres a good example..we can rush 3 or 4 and drop 7 or 8

or we can 'go after him' with 6 or 7 and give up a TD

Or get to the QB once in a while

Basically we either have balls or we don't have balls.

Have you watched the 2017 Colts?

Being down at halftime is not a good thing. You think this gets better?

Someone get this man a drink!

I agree with OldUncleMark. A dropped pass by Aiken, a blocked field goal, a missed field goal by 1 yard and a confused secondary gives up an easy TD on 3rd and goal from the 6, for a 13-7 half. The game plan is good enough to be winning. The players have to own up to this score.

Brissett is doing much better against the blitz than in past games.

If trends stay consistent then we will lose this game by 4 touchdowns.

I am no where near a Nostradamus, but that vision is even clear to me.

    • Reggie is the only 87 baby! Doesn't matter where drafted lol
    • I still think a 1 tech is a better option to help our run defense. Autry is still really good at rushing
    • If this kid is indeed a natural “body catcher” and not a hands catcher,  that is a HUGE red flag for me.   I’ll check other write ups to confirm.     Thanks very much for all the hard work!   Much appreciated!
    • Brisett was hardly throwing for 200 yards even before he got hurt. It was the run game and defense that was carrying the team.
    • Risk taking usually doesn’t equate to a winning formula in much at all. Risk taking in the stock market is the worst investment strategy you can have. Investing consistently in the ebb and flow for the long run is where the sure money is. Football is no different. Chris Ballard is not going to take risks in the draft that he puts so much weight into. He knows where he’s at with JB. He is doing his homework on quarterbacks, which is obvious by Frank Reich and Ed Dodd’s following them during senior bowl. If he takes one this draft, it won’t be a gamble or an act of desperation. It will be a well thought out and properly researched decision, and a piece of a long term strategy.    If Ryan Grigson and Chuck Pagano were given the kind of time they had without a hot seat, this tandem of Ballard and Reich will get every bit of the same. Grigson fell off the cliff after his firing. Pagano took some time to work back in. If we fire Ballard and Reich at the end of 2020 season, they will both be in similar positions elsewhere within a week... and no one qualified interested in replacing them. We better hang onto them and trust them to get us back into shape... not sure anyone else will be able to.
