Landry or Bryant. I like Bryant because he can play on the outside. Landry is a slot guy but he catches everything and has the toughness that Hilton lacks sometimes.

Hilton doesn't lack toughness he has taken some brutal shot in his short time in the league and has held on to the ball.

He does struggle a bit with press coverage but that's because he is a small guy.

He’s been known to go out of bounds prematurely to avoid getting hit or get down when he could fight for more yards.

My preference is Jarvis Landry. We desperately need the wr that can catch the ball over the middle and has a toughness to get yac and move the chains. I also think he is the most likely to make it to FA because of the glut of WRs that Miami has. That said Davante Adams is a great talent too I just don't think he leaves GB. I'd like to get Landry and then draft a big tall athletic wr to put on the outside and go up and get the ball in a later rd. I think of all years this is a good fa wr class to get someone that can help us right away while we develop a young guy. If teams like Detroit can find a guy like Kenny Golladay then surely the Colts can get one in the middle rounds too.

I think A-Rob is the best player of that group and his skillset would complement Hilton pretty well.. more of a possession receiver with great vertical leaping ability and can win contested catches. Can play outside or in the slot.

A-Rob all day. I dont think Adams will hit the market and if he does i would put him neck and neck with Robinson. I dont know why people keep saying Landry. The guy is really good but he plays mostly in the slot which would take away from T.Y. because thats where T.Y. is most effective. We need a guy that is big and can use his body to take over. I'd say Ballard thinks the same since he brought in Kamar and tried to get Alshon. I'd be really shocked if if he went for Landry.

Very close battle between Landry and Robinson. One more a big play receiver and bigger bodied and the other more a slot receiver that moves the chains....but has a toughness and scores in the red zone. I think either would be good gets....Robinson coming off an injury but will be interesting to see what we do. I think its a pretty good certain that we get a free agent wr this offseason after failing to pair TY with another threat since Reggie has left.

I voted Landry, but I'd be very happy with Robinson or Watkins. If we went with Landry, I'd definitely look at a middle round, big-bodied WR like Allen Lazard out of Iowa State, since I feel like these days you really need to have one of those physical red zone threat types. Robinson and Watkins are a bit bigger, so I'd be a lot less picky on who we draft in that case, and would even be completely fine with Rogers as our #3 and drafting a return specialist to round out the depth chart at WR (I'm fine with Rogers as a returner otherwise, but I'd love to have an electric returner that's a threat to take any kick to the house).

Who knows..maybe we land both Robinson and Landry....they both have attributes we are looking for. Size and speed...play making ability....redzone threats.  That said I think we add a wr in the middle rounds somewhere in this draft as well to develop...kinda like we did with Moncrief.

As an Iowan, I've watched a lot of Allen Lazard from Iowa State, and I think he's a perfect fit as a developmental mid round pick. He's built a bit like Mike Evans, and he's a really good red zone threat. Put him in a WR corps with Hilton, Landry/Robinson/Watkins, and Rogers and I think you've got a really good group of guys that complement each other really well.

Thats not a quality that's unique to Hilton. Lots of players do that.    And since TY is small I don't have a big problem with him picking and choosing when to go out and when to fight for more.

A player only has so many bullets.   Only so many battles that you can fight and win.   And at his size, that's particularly true for TY.

That's why we are are hoping for receivers with some size, toughness and, above all, HANDS!    Quality hands.

I don't necessarily disagree with you about Hilton making a business decision from time to time  Harrison did it all the time.  I will say that Hilton came up short in some crucial instances on 3rd down over the last couple of years when getting the 1st down should have been P1.

Sorry for the off topic post.

I agree about TY and I agree he has to choose his battles. It is also why I really value someone like Jarvis Landry who despite his compact size will battle across the middle and make those tough conversions. I like that toughness. The whole thing with TY and what people get aggravated about and I think that separates him from Marvin's ability is that Marvin first off caught way more passes and while maybe didn't have as many big plays as TY he was consistently productive....but the big thing....he ran precise routes...and if he need 8 yards to get to the sticks he and Peyton didn't run a 7 yard dig. TY has to be situationaly aware what he needs for the first down and run a route that will get the yardage....or then know he has to fight for the extra yard. I think that is what drives people insane. Marvin regularly ran his defender off the sticks before running those comebacks or outs etc so that if he tip toed out or then got down he had the first. Another reason he is a HOF.

Being in Kentucky I didn't get to see a lot of ISU....mostly BIG TEN and SEC. I will take your word on him and look for him at the combine etc. Sounds exactly like the player we should be targeting.

It’s true but he could put it on the line a bit more. There’s been times when it’s cost us a first down or two. But I guess we just need more physical receivers. Jarvis Landry would be great if Miami let’s him walk.

Josh Gordon would be amazing with Luck... if only you had any trust in him staying clean. I don't particularly trust him with that.

Watching the Rams, they use Watkins as an X receiver and he gets open ALL THE TIME, but Goff doesn't end up to him in his progressions very often. It's weird watching this. I still think he's a premier talent and I would gladly take him. He will be tremendous with Andrew.

Landry is good too but he's in my second tier.

Overall, most of those would be a serious upgrade over what we have after TY. I'd be pretty happy with most of them.

Nothing wrong with Landry but you folks that think he's going to come here are crazy.  Landry is a legit cut and dry #1.  He's not going somewhere that he will have to compete for catches.  He's going someplace where he can be the man.

Martavis Bryant from my information is still under contract for the 2018 season.

The other's are plausbile.

I personally like Watkins.  I see him as a high end #2 or a low end #1.  He's a big body WR which works as a good compliment for the small but speedy Hilton.  Plus he's young, he will only be 25 for the 2018 season.

Another name id throw into the ring is Paul Richardson from Seattle. Hes been one of those guys that seems to have not hit his peak yet (but has been steadily trending up), and could probably be had for less than some of the big names. He seems like a guy who could outperform his next contract.

I wouldnt want him over A-Rob, Landry or Watkins, but we probably need to bring in 2 guys anyways. He would be my ideal choice for our 2nd FA WR.

A-rob. Need someone who can win those short slants and intermediate routes. If we can't land him flip the 4th from the pats over to the broncos for Thomas.

That 4th rounder from the Pats was in last years draft. We used it on a guy who is no longer on the team. Also, it would take a lot more than a 4th to get Thomas.

Should.ve traded for Kelvin Benjamin. Then signed Allen Robinson or Martavis Bryant. Bryant is what we need if he can get that chemistry with Luck and play 16 games, but we have to be a playoff team for him to perform IMO.

So what about Allen Robinson on a 1year deal, then lock him up. He's a top 15ish WR, and a guy like Paul Richardson who's hitting his peak and should have his best years in his second 4 years. Like a Robert Woods this year. He or Jaron Brown could be next years Woods IMO

We're gonna have some really good options to pick from at WR. MAJOR class. Sign a big name, draft a kid RD3-4, sign 2 WR's, or sign 1 stud then a vet/decent 3rd WR, AKA a guy who could kill it with a 100% heatly 12 to be our number 3 like a Wallace, Kendall Wright, Gabriel, Inman, Jaron Brown, Amendola, Richardson, etc. I'm leaving some out. Inman hasn't done much, but he was good last year. Maybe as a 3rd WR he could give us 700 and 8 ?

But give me Allen Robinson and re-sign Moncrief to go with TY, Rogers, and a 4th RD pick.. Moncrief makes me so mad, but he's still ONLY 24 !!!!!! And balls out with Luck. He needs to be a dog out there, Give him 1 year and tell him what time it is. Be an alpha male or youre out for Chester Rogers. Rogers is more than capable of being the 3rd WR to TY and Allen Robinson. Plus a draft pick or 2.. But I mean Crief might be the best out of this entire group on this contract. I don't know if we should re-sign him or bring in a vet like Amendola or a guy like Richardson or Jaron Brown.

So....

Allen Robinson

TY Hilton

Dontae Moncrief

Chester Rogers

3rd-4th RD Pick

5th RD pick

No offense but he will go to who pays him the most money...regardless of #1 or #2. He catches a ton of passes but he isn't even really the #1 option on most of the plays for Miami. He doesn't really play on the outside like Kenny Stills or Devante Parker. I think there is a really good chances he leaves Miami and after that....whomever pays him the most will get him.....as typically is the case with most FAs. I wasn't aware of Bryant's contract status...Watkins is intriguing I will say...his upside is huge but something tells me his injuries have just taken a half a step from his explosiveness.

I don't think that is entirely true.  While if someone offers him the far and away most money, do you think he would go to a place where he's not the #1 guy for a couple of million dollars?

A player has to worry about their image, and if he projects the image of being a #2 he hurts himself in any future contracts he might try to negotiate.

You should add Demaryius Thomas to the poll, IMO.

Not sure it would take much more for a 30 yr old receiver.  Teams don't like giving up high draft picks.
