New England (-3) at Pittsburgh (12-17-17)

Recommended Posts

4:25 ST,,...Jim Nantz, 'MotorMouth Tony' Romo and Tracy Wolfson on CBS

Mid 30s and cold in Heinz Field in Pittsburgh...over-under at 53.5

Grandpa superstar 'Shady' Tom Brady (324 of 481, 3,865 yards, 27 TDs.  6 INTs) heads into a pivotal game in the AFC with 'Outlaw' Rob Gronkowski (55 catches, 849 yards) back off suspension.

NE has only 1,500 rushing yards but look for them to try to bust up the injury depleted Steelers at the line of scrimmage before he lights up the perennially soft Pittsburgh secondary.

The Pittsburgh law firm of 'Ben Brown and Bell' will be looking to impeach New England s defense with an all-out assault.

Big Ben Rothlisberger (318 of 502, 3.744 yards, 24 TDs and 13 INTs). who threw for 500 yards last week,  has to get the ball to WR Antonio Brown (99 catches, 1,509 yards) but he also has to spare 20 carries for LeVeon Bell (283 carries, 1,105 yards)

;

New England (10-3) has to win to be the top seed in the AFC. Pitt (11-2) clinches the top spot with a win.

Jacksonville (9-4) mathematically could catch NE but nobody takes Jacksonville seriously when it comes to winning the AFC.

Pittsburgh was eliminated fromt eh post-season by New England last year and this is the rematch. I don't think they match up.

The Steelers cant rush Brady hard enough and they don't have the man-to-man coverage boys

I'd take NE and the under..Steelers come up weak in the game of the week

Game of the year right here, who ever wins will probably get HFA throughout. Man I hate both of these teams. These 2 teams have prevented the Colts from many more SB appearances in our Indianapolis history. I am still mad about 1995 losing to Pitt in that AFC Title Game - that was Harbaugh's year. The Patriots were Peyton's biggest rival and I am just tired of them winning every year. Luck would've been in the SB (2014) had it not been for them as well. I want Pitt to win but I don't see it. I see a high scoring game here where Pitt hangs tough but I say the Pats win 34-27.

Steelers have to play some defense they have not shown this year

No Shazir now either. I would be surprised if they hold the Pats under 30 after the Pats losing last week and Gronk is back.

Patriots win 34-31, or the game gets away from the Steelers with the Pats winning 41-27.

If the Steelers win, they have to keep the score below 30, IMO, something like 27-24 and I do not see that happening with that Steelers' D.

I'm hoping Pittsburgh wins this game. because I'm tired of the Patriots always having #1 seed. Besides, I like watching Le'Veon Bell  and Antonio Brown play, unless they're facing the Colts.

Steelers will be like "OMG it's the Patriots, quick, let's forget everything we know about football and shrivel up!"

Plus, I have Big Ben and Bell today in my fantasy team, if I win, I go to the Super Bowl, but I'm sure the Patriots will make both of them look like 5th stringers.

Patriots win this game without having to lay a finger on it.

and if the pats lose and the jags win out. Then the jags would be the second seed possibly.

I was thinking the same thing. That would be so funny.

NO.

Steelers get the ball first.

Game over.

Patriots win.

The Patriots will stop the Steelers on their opening drive, storm down the field for an easy TD, and take control and the crowd out of this game.

Not to mention, the Patriots will score to end the 1st half, score to start the 2nd half, and put this game away by then.

#1 seed race over.

Thanks for a wonderful season.

Steelers being exposed as frauds on national TV.

Why was this game even hyped in the first place? Everyone pretty much knew the outcome.

Yeah, this game is going exactly as I predicted in this topic.

Time for Pittsburgh to punt after 3 plays and then for Brady to blow down the field and turn this game into a rout.

I see this is going to be spammed by the same rubbish as every Patriots' game thread.

Just like last year, one of the best players on the Steelers gets injured against the Patriots (Bell in the AFCCG, now Brown).

Who could've thought?

So Brown will probably be done for the season. The Steelers are also going to be done moving the ball for the night.

And with that, Brady will blow down the field for an easy TD coming up.

    • I am excited to finally see what we got.....and how all the battles will play out. I have mixed emotions about the Grand Park location, mostly because other than driving around the thing I just don't know much about it...(I call that old man disease, the unknown is annoying syndrome) lol but I will adapt and adjust....Just want to see some good football!!
    • It’s the first time camp Is being held in Westfield, In. Went to school in Westfield from 1st grade through Senior year so pretty cool to see they are holding colts camp there.
    • First words Frank Reich says to Quenton Nelson over the phone on draft night: “We can’t be more excited to have you as the cornerstone of what we are about to build.  We're expecting you to bring everything you got, that nasty attitude, that physicality..."   Chris Ballard on Quenton Nelson: "He has everything we want. He's tough, passionate, he loves the game....He's nasty, he's tough and his football character is off the charts.” "You take a guy like this, this tells your locker room what you stand for. When he walks [in] and they watch him work and watch him play, watch him practice, this is the standard. He stands for all the right things. Stands for team. Stands for pushing his teammates.”   Quenton Nelson on himself- before the draft: “I also help the offense establish the run through my nastiness” “I want to dominate all my opponents and take their will away to play the game (by) finishing them past the whistle”   Coltsfeva, I agree about kids and I don't want my son looking up to a player like like Ndamukong Suh.  But Ballard and Reich know what they are doing. They took Nelson for more than his blocking ability. Its seems clear to me they want Nelson to set the culture of the offensive line and the whole team like Larry Allen did for the Dallas Cowboys in the 90s.   I have confidence that Nelson isn’t going to be stupid and cost his team, and that Reich’s team isn’t going to develop a reputation of being dirty players. I’m also confident that very soon, people are going to stop using the word “soft” when discussing the Indianapolis Colts.
