IMO Paul George failed at giving an honest 100% effort every night on both ends of floor and being a leader . He has the me me me syndrome, nothing against you my friend I like you . that is and has b

Mark is on an island here. I wouldn't waste too much energy on changing his mind. This team is going to the promise land.. woot.

Love how all the mainstream sports media outlets are talking about what went wrong with the Cavs and LeBron instead of praising the Pacers.

Prior to last night, I thought the Suns would just barely miss the playoffs with all that talent. I didnt account for just how terrible their coach is. It's almost not fair with Tank Commander Earl Watson leading the way. No way we get Lakers picks now, looks like the Celtics will have the Laker's picks.

I had low expectations for the two New York teams and they still managed to under perform.

Without Hayward, I think Wall and his Wizards are now the second best team in the East.

A lot of people on this board are sleeping on the Spurs. Theyre still the second best in the West.

Looking forward to seeing the Sixers play Boston tomorrow night and the Lebron vs Greek Freak match up this weekend

Let me try again..

Is it better to be playing games in the 120s and 130s or in the 90s

Seriously

Defense is more important to me. Defense/effort is something you can hang your hat on. Its something that you can be consistent with and even if your having a bad shooting game you can clamp down and make it difficult on the other team. I just feel like defense is something that if you are good at it and you make it a priority that it can get you through stretches and keep you in the game until your scoring gets back on track. When you just try to outscore the other team...typically you run against just a better team...we don't have the best players in the league...its clear. Against a Cleveland or OKC, Houston, GS, and the elite talented teams...we aren't going to outscore them..we aren't going to out skill them....so to offset the difference we need to muck it up...be physical and out tough out work them. So defense is more important.

109-103   45 seconds to go..

WE don't have the 3-point shooters to play the way we want. Not yet.

Bogdanovic hanst done much. Lance isn't any better  shooting the 3;

....and our guys don't naturally spot-up at the 3 line which clogs the lane

Pacers are keeping it interesting

They hustle...112-108 final..

...We need to shoot the long ball better to play the way we want..

...but that may come with Leaf and Bogdonavic.

Didnt see last night but this  was much better, right?

There is a big hole at the 3. We should have been able to do better than Wilkins. I don't understand the thought process on keeping him and now playing him. What does he bring to the table? He's never been much of a 3pt threat.

That's a big hole and GR3 won't be back for a minute. It will be interesting to see what the plan is there.

Bogdonavic will fill that...once he starts hitting the '3'

But our guys don't spot up for the 3.....Collison and Lance and Victor ..they all want to drive to the hole...

We have drive-and-kick guys with no one to kick it too, yet. Everybody's inside the circle

I think its correctable.....

Pacers aren't that good, I have already faced the music on that one. The Cavs are getting destroyed by Orlando 84-60 and everyone is playing the Cavs.

I think they are pretty good when you remember this is a whole new team. They play with heart and are unselfish with the ball and each other. Great energy makes them fun to watch and they will get better with time. It's hard to judge with only 3 games played especially with our best player not on the court.

Being in the east they will be competitive all year.

I wont give up too early but usually if you don't have a Star you don't do much in the Playoffs.

Yup. Though Oladipo is playing some pretty good ball, this team not having a big star hurts it. You almost have to have one or two to be a great team.

Even though he is young neither one of you think Turner is not a star?

I see a star in the making.

    • Where so u get that Smith will male 10 million a year? Have looked at the top  right tackle salaries? This Oline is bout to get very expensive. So alot of our cap will be in our Oline and a WSL. How will we invest in the skill positions?
    • From Microsoft Sports: Indianapolis Colts The Colts took a big swing by trading for Carson Wentz for a third-round pick and a conditional second-rounder, and will now be dedicating all of their resources to helping him find his game again. But there is no guarantee that will work, nor is there a guarantee Wentz will be 100 percent healthy all year given his laundry list of ailments suffered under center in the NFL. They'll want a reliable backup. They'd likely even be willing to offer a few million more than the veteran minimum for such services. Smith can offer that. Indy is the best balance of winning and a chance to play that Smith has. If the Wentz experiment works out, the Colts will be legitimate title contenders and a Super Bowl ring is one of the few boxes Smith has yet to check in his lengthy football career. If Wentz gets hurt, it'll be Smith leading the charge. If Wentz stinks from Week 1 on and the Colts have no shot at the playoffs, there's a very good chance they bench Wentz for the final five games of the season to avoid sending Philadelphia a first-round pick instead of a second-round pick next year. Which means playing time for Smith. As close to a win-win Smith could find if he wants the best of both worlds.
    • Believe it or not, the buzz I’ve read in Meinerz is not late Day 3....    but Day 2.   And that's based on a D3 kid Tampa drafted about 5 years ago.   An interior OL named Ali Meipart.   He had a very good Senior Bowl week and was taken late R2.  In the early 60’s.   Scouts think if Meipart can make the jump, so can Meinerz.   So look for him to probably go sometime Day 2.    I know the mock simulators show him on Day 3,  but those don’t typically get accurate until sometime in April.
    • Yeah it seems that if he gets beat off the LOS and the receiver gets a step on him, he panics because he don't have good recovery speed. I think he needs to work harder on his technique and keep his concentration. Ballard will kind of need to see a marked improvement from him next year. He gave up some big plays last year that killed us at times (Steelers, Titans) or nearly killed us (Green Bay).
    • While i think Pinter could be a serviceable center I would much rather DOS a true center. Pinter went from a TE to RT and now possibly a RG in the future. There is a lot more involved in the centers job then just snapping the ball so i would prefer someone more proficient at it.
