I hope Tim Williams or Carl Lawson is there when we pick, that is what I am hoping for right now.

ESPN has Lewis rated as an 87 and Williams an 80. Based on that I would be happy with either one of them.

Does anyone think Fabian Moreau would be a good fit or pick in this spot?  Very talented.  I am hoping for him, Lawson or Dorian Johnson

You know, I don't wish anything bad on the guy.  I hope he stays clean.  Just too risky for my taste.

Had a private workout, be interesting.

What could have been. Ravens took him despite them going heavy on D this draft before their pick of Williams.

I think if the Colts really wanted Williams they would have moved up for him, maybe used one their 4s to do it or something.

Oh wow.  Basham looks VERY athletic.  This might be the steal of the draft.

Got our Edge!  ESPN guys seem to like it.  Hope it works out.  I gotta say, Ballard is definitely TRYING to improve this wretched defense.  Can't say he isn't!  I love it!

    • Agree. I think people underestimate the ability of coaches to tailor offenses towards their best players. This is especially true for the coaches that are actually good, which I think Arians is(even though I too have some thoughts on his offense and playcalling).    You might actually argue Ben and Luck especially were used the way they were by Arians precisely because they they can actually do it and can actually mitigate some of the drawbacks of playing that type of offense. I think Arians is plenty smart enough to adjust his offense to what Brady can and cannot do. I still think Brady can be one of the better passers in the intermediate range and even take some shots downfield when well protected and he will have some of the best supporting casts and weapons he's had recently. I don't think Arians will ask Brady to do what he was asking Luck to do.
    • Or their putting out players to excel a play. For instance, a hard PA that looks like a run. Teams will buy it's a run more if Pascal is on the field then Campbell. All I'm saying is, don't sleep on Pascal just because we took two WRs early. We can take advantage of each of their best traits.
    • Not sure TB12 would make it to Bye Week if Arians was the playcaller
    • I have some thoughts on Arians' offense and playcalling, but Leftwich is the playcaller now. And I think they'll tailor things to fit Brady's strengths and maximize the weapons they have. I don't think Brady is as dangerous a passer as he once was, but it was only a couple years ago that he threw for 500 yards in the Super Bowl.    Arians' calling plays for Ben and Luck (and even Jameis) -- who thrived in a downfield passing attack, who liked to hold on to the ball and shrug off tacklers -- probably doesn't have a whole lot of significance for the 2020 Bucs with Brady. Arians might be stubborn, but he's not stupid.
    • I’d love to have Clowney.... and I’m a big believer in the high character players the Colts have targeted recently. But with the uncertainty over what the salary cap will look like next year, and the multiple free agents the Colts need to sign, it makes sense to be cautious. If they could get him on a one year affordable deal, heck yeah. But I suspect Clowney will hold out for a better deal than that....which is why Clowney and the Colts are not the best fit. Gonna have to roll with J. Houston and the kids.
