With the 166th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Lions select Jalen Robinette, WR from Air Force.

@Superman The Miami Dolphins are on the clock (I don't know how we do it, but we always seem to come to your teams in the morning LOL).

@WarGhost21 sent in a pick for Tedric Thompson and it sounded like he wasn't going to be present to make his pick.  Unfortunately, he didn't see that I took Thompson with the 169th pick.  I'm not inclined to draft for him within the 2 hour period, but we may just end up selecting for him anyway in 2 hours.  If anyone wants to make his selection within the 2 hour period, I leave that up for discussion.  I vote no since he wasn't unequivocally going to be absent.

Is Time up on @WarGhost21?

if so what is the need?

If I have time I will see who they have already taken and if there are any other potential needs and go from there. But when I I'm working from my phone and don't have enough free time handy I just go with the BPA. We're in the fifth round now so I don't think that very many people have or will have a problem with it.

You need a break. Thanks for all your efforts. Do you have any picks coming up? Would you like to send a list of potential players to select for your teams?

Many thanks. Ive got a break in terms of my next pick. I dont go until 214 overall. So i think i should be ok, but if we get close, PM me, and worst case scenario, go BPA. Dont wait the 2 hours on my account. I will be back late Sunday, Monday for sure, to draft.

Just wanted to give you all the free pass to draft for me in the event we do go a whol round over the weekend.

I forgot that I am volunteering tomorrow at church. I will have my cell  on me and will try to check the site at least once every hour.

    • Restructures do happen in year after or 2 years into new deal all the time. There will be many restructures around the league this year(more than usual). It is all part of the Covid effect.     So any research prior to this year still wouldn't equate to what is needed around the league to make money work.    Like I said though teams that are usually tight to the cap have to restructure guys contracts to give them more space. Happens every year, but this year is different for all involved.     Im not trying to be argumentative either, or even saying it is going to happen.  Just laying out the possibility and how it could help us.
    • 2018 1 & 2017 3 Thats the price for the swap to trade up.  You don’t get to count the benefit in the cost.
    • I don’t usually pay attention to contracts and medications of them and I’ll respect that you do but I would be very surprised if it is common or even often that they get restructured the year after they are drafted.     ugh.  I may have to research this because now you’ve sparked my curiosity
    • I like it.  I agree with a lot of your player choices.  I think Carman is one of the more underrated OTs in the draft, with a lot of analysists thinking he's going to have to be moved to OG.  But I think he's just playing about 25 lbs too heavy.  He gets out to the second level and has really nice feet in pass pro for a 345 lb guy...   Personally, I think Lance will be bid up into the teens of Round 1, and I doubt that Ballard will be in on the Lance train.  Many of those one-year wonder QBs haven't done that well in the pros (Trubisky, Bortles, Haskins, Paxton Lynch).  Plus, I've never really heard anyone talk much about his intangibles - intelligence, leadership, character.  These things are really important to Ballard.  Call me crazy, but I think that Ballard is going to sit on Kyle Trask - if he's there at 21, we take him; if he's gone, we probably take an OT...
    • restructures happen all the time after contracts are drawn up. One could argue with a base at $10m this year, that might even of been the plan when the created the contract, to give them some flexibility if cap dropped further than anticipated.   They knew the cap might drop, but not to what extent. It might not happen, it might, but it gives the Colts the option to gain nearly $7m in cap space this year if they need to, and options to gain cap space are few and far between.   Kelly restructure $6.75 Doyle Release - $4.35   $11.1m in cap savings   Only other option to gain more cap space would be Glowinski($5m range) and that doesn't make much sense.
