Sharper???

I was in a topic earlier but I can't find it any where and would love to see a link the guy said that the colts were going to sign him to a deal. I want some evidence before we start a discussion but what do you think?

I agree, old. Honestly never even thought he was that great even the last few years.... give me a cb or ss. I would welcome the experience for cheap though!!

i would be down to bring sharper in. at least he is a playmaker and we do need one of those in the secondary. 2 years ago he basically led the saints defense to the super bowl. might as well give him a shot

the posts on NFL.com were one guy - he started off by commenting "i think the Colts should sign Darren Sharper"

then went on to comment "Darren Sharper to the Colts"

no substance to the rumour.

also, it would go against the Colts FA pattern so far - younger talent, guys who could play for several more years - not a one year fix guy.

A guy with that experience can make the switch to ss no problem especially in long yardage situations if hes cheap enough ill take that experience to onfield coach our young dbs

bethea was originally playing SS when sanders was FS. pretty sure bethea can play either role. i vote yes to bringing him in. obviously we would rather see whitner back there or grimes come in since they are young and in their prime. They could help us for many years. but i feel, if we arent going to bring in either of them, then sharper is a huge improvement over melvin.
