The best thing I got out of the ESPN interview this week is that Manning physically looks good.

During the season...he seemed to have droopy shoulders and bad body language

In the interveiew...the rehab work on his upper body showed clearly...

..and his demeanor was, to steal an ESPN phrase" 'back and better than ever'..

....He looked much better than he did during the season.

anybody else notice that..?

He looked stressed and i'm pretty sure balding has hit him hard lately. He had already showed signs of balding from the sides but what concerned me was the balding from just on top of the forehead. Might have started late 2011?

pay close attention to the spot, top right of his forehead(from our view). Very crater-like shape and the lack of hair is concerning.

Another misleading opinion based headline.

I've seen some say he looked good. I've seen some say he looked old. Some say he looked fake, some say he looked sincere.

To me, he looked quizzical.

Man, alot of you 'profilers' on here couldnt profile my grandmas bunions.

He was ticked. Its Eli's time to shine and everyone is talking smack about him. He is sick of it. As am I.

Now, I think some of oldunclemark's thread titles are purposely misleading. But it's pretty petty of you to jump on this one. Of course it's his opinion and in his opinion Manning looked good and he explained why he thought that. There is nothing misleading in the title.

Is it "hating" to acknowledge the shortcomings of the Manning-Painter-Collins-Orlovsky plan, as evidenced by the results of that plan this past season?

Is it "hating" to wonder about the health status of Manning, if he can return to 100% of his pre-injury self?

Is it "hating" to want to implement a plan that should prevent what happened this past season, should Manning not return?

Hmmm, if this is what it means to be a "hater", I think we should all be "haters".

I guess if this past season's outcome was acceptable to you, you should favor the Manning-Painter-Collins-Orlovsky plan.

Come on undecided, you want to take everything so literal unless it doesn't suit your agenda. The poster clearly stated:

I hope Manning is back and I hope we don't have to draft Luck.

He said, "have to" he didn't state he didn't WANT the Colts to... or he didn't think the Colts SHOULD. And with a healthy Manning the Colts would not HAVE to draft Luck.

@mortreport

Peyton Manning medically cleared to resume NFL career, per sources. More coming on ESPN now. #NFL32

Don't worry the naysayers will discredit this because it has no source. Except they back La Canfora when he said the opposite.

Hey Coffee man. Doogan did the right thing. How about you now!

I could tell by the interview that he's having problems with the big toe on his left foot. He's also throwing at 89%, running a 5.4 40 (personal best), and is retaining 100% of the playbook.

Oh yeah, when he said the word "future", I could tell that one of the twins needs a diaper change.

This stuff is easy. Mr. Peabody has nothing on me.

Can the mods just ban this guy already? He started a troll topic in the draft section saying Luck is a bust then saying the thread was "an experiment" and now he is just spamming "hater". . .at least give him a T.O! :)

    • Because I have eyes and I can see what our defense is doing, I can see what instructions he's giving, where they are lined up, how many are rushing, how many are deep, etc. and I can make an informed deduction about what's happening. And in this case Tice is absolutely correct and what he saw was what I saw too and it looked exactly like what he describes - Gus Bradley had no idea they were trying to get into long FG range. He was only thinking about the Hail Mary.    I have no idea why you always give the benefit of the doubt to everybody in this organization despite what you can actually see with your own two eyes.   Of course Steichen won't say anything mid-season about his DC. Hell, even if he fires him after the season he still won't say anything overly negative, because this is the business and it's bad for business to burn bridges and flame people with reputation and long time careers in the league.   You can still watch what happens and make a conclusion for yourself. I promise you, the world won't end if you don't take the word of the GM, HC or the DC as gospel. As amazing as you think they are, they are not the chosen, infallible ones.
    • Have you perhaps had a little too much holiday cheer?   Some spiked eggnog?     “…. If the fans can see it, why can’t the Colts brass?”   Since I arrived here nearly 13 years ago, I have always maintained that the dumbest GM of all-time — whoever you think that is — knows more about football than anyone in our community.   And it likely isn’t even close.      For what it’s worth, people here used to think Granson sucked.   Then Steichen was hired and eventually was asked about his tight end room.  And he said nice things about several players, but most of all Granson.   Suddenly people here said nice things about Granson and he had a decent 2023.     For some unknown reason, the whole Colts TE room has fallen off this season including Granson.   But this idea that he should never play another snap again is embarrassing.     If you look again at the first paragraph I wrote I tried to give you a way out.  A chance to say you were blowing off steam and you really didn’t mean it.  I hope you’ll take that to heart.  You’re much smarter than this.
    • Yeah I want Gus gone but even I admit firing Gus right now serves no point.  His contract is up at the end of the year.  I think the Colts decline to renew it and move on.
