Resign: Butler

             Walden

             Turbin

             Swoope

             Kerr

Extend: Moncrief

             Mewhort

Sign: Melvin Ingram

         Jonathan Hankins

         Dre Kirkpatrick

I don't expect that the Colts will do all that much in free agency. Signing all three of those guys probably won't happen. That said I would make signing Ingram a priority. We have the cap room to make him an enticing offer.

NFL Draft

Round 1: Taco Charlton-Edge

Rare size, length, and athletic ability for an edge rusher. Has room on his frame to add more muscle. Excellent bend around the edge due to his flexibility. Despite all his talent he is inconsistent. Taco can be a tremendous player if he works hard and commits to being more consistent in his play. Really only scratching the surface of his ability and if/when he puts it all together, watch out.

Round 2: Jourdan Lewis- CB

Feisty, aggressive, competitive player. Quick feet and hips allow him to mirror receivers with ease. Possess lateral agility to excel as a slot CB. Only allowed 7 catches in '16. Small player at 5'10'' and 190 pounds; although he does have long arms. Probably won't want him to cover NFL receivers with elite size.

Round 3: Eddie Jackson- Safety

Former CB that converted to safety after his sophomore season. Has good range and instincts. Excellent ball skills and a very fluid athlete in space. Being a converted CB he has the versatility to drop down and cover the slot if needed. Needs to use better form when tackling and could improve his run defense. Will take overly aggressive angles to the ball carrier and run himself out of position.

Round 4: Kareem Hunt- RB

Round 4: Jarron Jones: NT

Shows flashes of elite play. Watch him against Miami and you'll think he's a 1st rounder. Doesn't always play up to that ability though and scouts have questioned how much he loves football.  Lower body isn't as developed as you'd like and has dealt with injuries. If he can improve his lower body strength and show that he cares about football he will be a beast. He's an upgrade from Parry no matter what.

Round 5: Ryan Switzer- WR

Excellent slot WR and return man. Gives Luck another guy to throw to underneath on quick passes. Open field ability allows him to create big plays out of short passes. Will handle kick and punt return duties.

Round 6: Ejuan Price- Edge Rusher

Limited scheme fit and role in the NFL drops this highly productive pass rusher to the 6th. Price doesn't bend very well but he has twitch and strength and would be a situational rusher for the Colts.

UDFA Priorities:

Joe Williams- RB: extremely fast runner who hits second gear very quickly. Was kicked out of UConn before transferring to Utah and retired from football before this season only to rejoin the team when injuries hit their RB corps.

Darrius English- Edge Rusher: long lanky player who needs to add weight and strength.

Not all of our needs were met in this offseason. CB, ILB, Offensive Line, and OLB still need upgrades or developmental players but we'll have a strong basis on defense and offense.

Let me know what you think.
