Here is a short excerpt from his bio from the Ravens website:

"Marwan Maalouf is in his fourth season as the Ravens’ assistant special teams coach. In 2008, Maalouf rejoined special teams coordinator/assistant head coach Jerry Rosburg, for whom he worked in Cleveland for three years. The Ravens’ special teams units have been impressive under their guidance: In the comprehensive annual special teams report created by Rick Gosselin of The Dallas Morning News, the 2010 Ravens were ranked eighth in the NFL, up from 18th the year before. (Gosselin’s comprehensive report is recognized by NFL teams as the special teams measuring stick.) In 2009, Baltimore was second in the NFL both in kickoff return average (26.3) and in opponents’ average starting position (26.9). Maalouf is also an experienced personnel evaluator and teacher whose expertise assists Rosburg in creating special teams schemes."

Sounds like he helped to build a solid unit in Baltimore. Welcome to Indy, we need all the help on Special Teams here that we can get.

He might have to put up some Terrence Wilkins highlights (he's the last decent return man I can remember us having) just to see that we did at some point have something that resembled a special teams unit

At least he won;t have to wade through a lot if film. haha

Well, you do need to point out how NOT to do things sometimes. So there's plenty of that kind of film.

Seriously though, I'm hoping we finally have someone that knows what they're doing. At least he has NFL experience and seems to understand the importance of STs.

A source told FOXSports.com that Manusky was hired Thursday to become Indianapolis' new defensive coordinator. Manusky will be working under new Colts head coach Chuck Pagano, who was Baltimore's defensive coordinator in 2011.

Manusky was San Diego's DC in 2011 before being fired at the end of the season. Manusky served as San Francisco's defensive coordinator from 2007 to 2010.Previously ointervied by raiders this year

Pagano hired three other assistants on Wednesday: Marwan Maalouf (special teams), Roy Anderson (safeties) and Alfredo Roberts (tight ends).
