Tyrek hill, Travis Kelce...

They are decent enough I guess.  Still kind of light on the offensive side though if those are his best acquisitions.  This guy has been around for awhile...no?

I agree that Ballard has done a very good job finding defensive talent though which is what the Colts need most right now.

We have Andrew Luck and TY Hilton, we need someone who can build a monster on Defense. Offense is the least of my worries besides the O.Line of course. I think they even improved towards the end of the season though. Kelly is going to be real solid IMO.

I agree we need a D primarily right now.  But if this guy is going to be around for awhile he needs to also have an eye for offensive talent if we expect to have sustained success on that side of the ball once our current play makers start to age.

The talent on their offense really isn't that bad.

I did, I get where you are coming from but with Andrew Luck as the QB, I am just not worried about the Offense for at least the next few years. TY and Moncrief are young as well and so is Dorsett. We do need a RB, Frank is down to his last season. Anyway imagine if Luck was on the Chiefs with that kind of Defense or Vikings. That is what I have been picturing with Paton or Ballard.

Even if our offense is good we should ALWAYS look for ways to improve it. Like this year RB is the focus, but we could also use a WR with sticky fingers for possession. I'm not saying we need to go out this year and go full blown offense but it's should be a mix every year. You cant always focus on one side. That's how you end up with a good offense and no defense then an good defense and no offense. Then back again.

We do need a RB and I wouldn't be opposed to adding another OG to protect Andrew, other than that to me it's all about the Defense.

Him or Patton is who I want.  I'd take Wolfe too but I am less excited about him.  I am not really feeling the Seahawks guys and I think Raye would be a let down.  Honestly they could keep him on at his current position and hire one of the other two guys in a perfect world.

I do agree that we need to focus alot on the defense this year. Our hands are tied behind our backs on that one, but moving forward it must be a good mix.

I wonder how much of an effect getting Ballard would mean on perhaps the chances of say, an Eric Berry or Dontari Poe signing in Indy?

I know, chances are still gonna be really low regardless, but you gotta think they'd be increased somewhat if they do indeed get Ballard.

I know I was thinking the same thing, that would improve our Defense a lot.

History of drafting defense talent is intriguing. It's not coincidental our best defensive season with Luck resulted in an AFC Championship appearance (Ranked 11th).

They also held opponents to under 20 points 7 times that season, then twice in the playoffs before getting blown out in New England.

And, they were tied for 9th in sacks in the league that year with 41. Not that the 2014 defense was amazing, but suffice to say when they were adequate was when this team has had it's best shot at a Superbowl in the Luck era.

Imagine had Mathis been healthy coming off of 2013. I seriously doubt the Pats beat us 45-7 had we had Mathis but that is JMO. That game would've been much closer.
