I love the food! The Venetian is cool. Shopping is decent...I don't gamble either but my wife loves it so it would be an easy sale...and again plane tickets and hotels are usually cheap.

What I liked most was the food. We went to several of the casinos. The Bellagio was nice and we were treated to the light show while having dinner. I believe we ate at the Venetian too.

I've stayed at most of the nice hotels there for all sorts of conventions for different companies I've worked for...some of the smaller shows etc are the best...usually there is something for everyone but I agree it isn't a place I could spend a lot of time there. It truely feels like sin city.. always women propositioning and drunk people I'd feel better being with my wife for that very reason.

I usually go to Vegas to play poker tourneys and cash games rather than gamble. I'll do that in Colorado. Vegas is very fun if you use bankroll management, use strategy, and have a plan on what to do. If you aren't disciplined in money management, don't go to Vegas. You'll either win a little and put it back because you didn't fly to vegas to win $100, or you'll lose more because you can't control yourself. It took me years not to get out of control.

MGM and the Bellagio are fantastic. I hate the Hilton as it gives poor comps and pretty bad service. I like the Rio as well, and it's where I play a lot of poker tourneys.

Kind of wish the playoffs got lined up for them so they'd need to play both KC and PIT....and not have one freebie next week.

Thats why I was rooting for Matt McGloin to somehow win the division vs Broncos but Gary Kubiak's last game send off ended up messing it up. Otherwise, it would've been Chiefs going to Pats followed by Steelers. You get the #1 seed, and you get a few breaks too.

Can someone one tell me if overall record determines whether an AFC seed's divisional round timing preferences are honored over an NFC #1 seed's. Just curious.

I just play Pai Gow poker...I don't like to lose money it drives me nuts so it's a game I've played for hours and hours and win no more and lose no more than $80-$100 and all the drinks and conversations I could want.

Pai Gow is easy, you tie so much that it's hard to win or lose a lot quickly. It's fun when you have a good dealer and conversation. I don't like playing it by myself though.

That is what I dislike most about Vegas. I hate seeing people throwing away their money. Everywhere I went in Vegas, there was a slot machine, even in a restroom!!! One person told me that her friend lost $250, 000. It was sickening.

Not sure how the order of games is scheduled, although for the past several years, the snoozefest Texans playoff game always went first on Wild Card Weekend, lol.

I know the AFC/NFC Championship games alternate every year. This year the NFCCG is first, then AFC. Last year it was the opposite.

Exactly...or good people at the table with you. Yeah I look at it like a show is about 50-100 anyways and it as entertainment but like you said you tie so much hard to lose or win much so I'm not bored and like I said I don't want to lose money so it works both ways.

I've actually never been in a Vegas restroom. That's insane there's a slot machine there. When i was 18 and playing online poker, I won a $50 tourney and won $2700. Proceeded to lose it all in an hour playing $500 heads up games vs professionals. I punched an entire section of my wall down, had to pay to get it repaired, and didn't gamble for a long time after. It can destroy you. I had to learn how to play for small stakes the hard way and learn bankroll management before i could appreciate the money I had.

I don't know what to tell you. Hopefully it won't destroy you. Save some money.

Patriots seem to prefer the Saturday night slot for some reason. The 4:40 pm ET slot and other Sunday slots seem to get more upsets in the  divisional round (2006 Chargers, 2007 Cowboys, 2010 Patriots) unless of course Peyton is involved :) Maybe not knowing who has advanced gives an edge for higher seeds on Saturday??? Not sure

I'm fine now :) I recovered in a year and i have a nice amount of savings and discipline. It's something that happens when you are young and a poker player, you go broke. I have friends who have literally lost millions. They had to crawl back on top and even borrow money. I didn't do that though. When you have bipolar, it makes it worse. That's why I play low stake cash games today and $50 tourneys or less. Know when to quit, and you should be good.

That probably happens all the time..we just don't see it

I guess so but it can't help the team can it? I am wondering if the Giants got too cocky too considering their history of owning the Packers. And without Coughlin I was wondering how the Giants would be in a serious playoff run, I used to feel he was pretty underrated at times keeping the Giants level.

And Odell Beckham IS a headcase......OMG he totally is.

I won't lie, I did expect more from the Giants today, A LOT more. I figured this game would come down to the wire.

Hats off to the Packers, who I've ripped for blowing big games, for not giving up on the season and all but the Giants gave it to them. I don't know how the Cowboys lost to that team.

Congrats to you Bloody. I guess in a way I am a bit suprised myself? But, I hope the Packers can show up in Dallas too.

How does it hurt the team?  The game and season are over

Seriously?

I don't see any articles about him punching a wall. ESPN website has nothing on it, at least not yet. I am listening to sports radio in NY and I have not heard anything about it.

The article that was posted says nothing about him punching a wall. It is criticizing Beckham's decision to go to Miami and how it may have affected his performance. Nothing new there.

It's all over ESPN on tv.   Not a big deal to me.   Locker rooms are emotional places after a season ending loss

Okay, thank you. I was looking for it on the website. I see that Gramz posted a link. I will look at it.

Now they are talking about it in NY too. It is not too big a deal but he loses his self-control too frequently.
