  1. 1. Where will Peyton play next year (best guess)

He's rehabbing hard to play not retire, faces no more risk of spinal injury than anyone else, has always wanted to play for only one team and works for an owner that wants him to remain a Colt. He's pretty good at accomplishing his goals. And if the Colts (they would know better than anyone except Peyton and his doctor) don't think he can play, why would another team pay big bucks for a maybe?

Ok. I'm stubborn. I can't help it.

Peyton will play for the Colts which is what I voted. Here or nowhere. He is doing his very best to rehab and fix the issues caused by this problem and I am rooting for him to make it a reality.

Until it is beyond a shadow of a doubt he can't play anymore he is my guy. Peyton is the face of the Colts (at this time). I stick by him.

Tyler?

I referred badly to "Fight Club"...

I was trying to express, how much I'm crazy wit threads like that. We don't know anything about Peyton, and media hecked this whole thing... :(

IF Peyton healthy will play for Colts...if not... no, I don't want to think about he can't play anymore.

One thing is sure, that nothing is sure.

The topic on the Baltimore sports talk radio on my morning drive, was how the ravens should go after manning if he is given a clean bill of health. I have said 49ers, jets, and ravens when I started a similar thread months ago. But in all seriousness, Peyton is not going to rehab and work hard to just retire.

word on foxsports and yahoo sports is that 2 sources are saying manning is going to retire....heres the story.

How about the word of Peyton saying he is not going to retire, or the word of his father? Peyton said I am not considering retirement, he is not rehabbing to just hang them up, because the colts will cut him. Everyone who thinks he will retire for the sole reason of not being on the colts, really need to stop being naive and wake up.

I don't doubt for a minute Peyton's determination and desire to finish off his rehab and play again....whether it's for the Colts or elsewhere. He will absolutely give it his best shot.

Unfortunately, it just continues to sound like the odds of him regaining his full throwing capabilities are getting longer as time goes by.

I'm no doctor, but that report sited two league-affiliated doctors who confirmed the plateauing of nerve regeneration that is often reached in the rehab process after this kind of injury.... and which the patient typically does not improve beyond.

If that is accurate medical information..... then I believe Peyton will retire.

I'm far less optimistic now than I was a few months ago.

I really don't think Irsay will be able to keep him, and I'm starting to think that he might be done altogether.

Fortunately, if he is done, it's not like he has anything left to prove. Thank God for 06 or this would be even more tragic than it already is.

    • I think most important option is missing in the poll : No One.   I think it's a fairly average QB class that it's okay to not like anybody enough to draft him. There's no one QB that Wows you with their pocket passing Caliber or pure athletic traits or good combination of both. It's like a tweener class of all those abilities, having lop-sided combination of above said skills.    And, this poll, rather than forcing to pick one QB, needed that extra option to express staying away from this QB class.

    • If one were to understand that all teams defend with zones in very similar ways, and know that Gus plays man about 30% of the time which is just on the lower side of middle of the pack, so what then is the issue with "Gus".  Ballard/Dodds!  We ARE near the bottom in speed, intellect, experience, Talent, with Gus's back seven. Gus is forced to play soft with dem bums.   Ballard/Dodds have killed us with their many misses drafting DE's, Rock-Ya.   This draft, this 53 man + roster should be pivotal, heavily scrutinized by Ownership.
    • I voted Williams because of his talent and if Chicago doesn't pick him and he becomes great, they will go down as the team that had the guy and blew it again. I honestly am not sold on Williams being great though. My dark horse best QB is Penix.   My bust pick is McCarthy. He is Mac Jones.
    • I do have recollection of it, read my posts above. I never Said you were wrong regarding what I posted but I never created a thread saying he was coming back. I am also sure it was before we signed Wentz when I said he was coming back - which you jumped all over. Time flies. I am not even sure why you started this nonsense? I got a head ache trying to find my old posts and posts I created to make sure I was sane.   Word of advice, you can take this how you want but quit starting stuff with people that is unnecessary. I say that as a friend because as a poster you are one of the best in here.   Calling me out is fine but over something I said 3 years ago is unexpected. I did say what you said but it wasn't last year.    I Need a drink and people wonder why I drink. I can't even come here and have fun to escape the real world. This place is a head ache.
