Down 6-0 in the first, lol, gonna be a looooong game. Something is definitely wrong with Hendricks, this is not him.

Just wanted to let everyone know I still feel healthy, just working a lot. Hozer and I miss doing play by play of Cubs games on here and commenting on the games. Everything will be back to normal soon

I just got an anonymous call on my phone which I usually don't answer when I don't see a number I recognize. I answered it and the person said SOX and hung up.  I have no clue who it was

Ross suspended for a game, will be out Friday. Terpara suspended 3 games is appealing. This is because of throwing behind Woodruff. Brewers wont ever get anything even though, they showed more control Wednesday somehow after hitting Willson in basically every other game. No fines either.

Don’t get me started, what a joke.

Rizzo with a blast! 6-1 now. Long way to go, Go Cubs! Brewers have a bunch players that play dirty, I have never liked them. Glad they have never won a WS, I like the Cards better than them and that says a lot coming from a diehard Cubs fan. I respect the Cards, they aren't dirty and have won a couple WS in recent history = 2006, 2011.

Umpire is all over the place wow!

He called a strike on Heyward and was clearly low. Earlier on Happ he called a strike where was it was high and outside. If he wants to give Hendricks those calls than I am good with it. It can't be one way.

@NFLfan Cubs vs Mets start at Wrigley tonight. Lets see what happens. I am guessing low scoring games since both offenses are not the best at hitting

The Mets actually have some of the higher batting averages but can't get people home. Can't get runs.

How did the Cubs score their first run. On the Mets broadcast, in the 4th inning, the announcers said Dom Smith of the Mets had just gotten the first hit of the game. But the Cubs were leading 1-0. They must have scored on errors.

Yes, on error. Sogard was at first on a bunt, got bunted to second. Then Contreras hit a ball to Davis and Davis threw bad and low and Alonzo couldn't pick it cleanly. Sogard just kept running and scored without a throw

Cubs beat Mets, nice start to the series. Jake gets the win and goes to 3-1. Mets had bases loaded in the 9th but Kimbrel closed it down. @HOZER, fly the flag.

El Mago just hit a Grand Slam, 14-4 Cubs now in the bottom of 7th. Cubs are rolling in this series so far against the Mets. Man when the Cubs are bad, they are bad, but when they get hot look out! This team is hard to figure out. I am already going to say it, fly the flag @HOZER, we aren't blowing a 10 run lead major league baseball GIF by MLB

Psh a ten run lead, I think 12 is better. With a 16-4 win. Thank you Mets.

@NFLfan I have not watched any other Mets game this season, but these errors the last two days, has that been common, or is it just something off with the stuff since its cold

That had to of been tough to watch for any Mets fans that was a crazy amount of errors for a game, cubs definitely benefited from them but the grand slam sealed the deal!

The Reds have fallen back to Earth. I knew they wouldn't be able to sustain their success for too long... The defense is simply trash. Meanwhile the Pirates are quietly putting together a good string of wins the past few weeks. I don't see the Cards sitting at the bottom for too long either.

The Cardinals in last place...hopefully not for too long.  It's still early, but they are very inconsistent so far.

Cubs sweep Mets, now we are back to .500 at 9-9. Playing good for a change. Only 2 games out of 1st place behind the pesky BrewCrew who are 11-7. @HOZER, fly the flag.

And the Cubs play the Brewers again starting tomorrow....should be interesting!!!

If we can get 2 out of 3 from the Brewers I will take it. That would put us a game out of 1st place at the end of the weekend. Brewers swept the Padres which was surprising.

15-2 Cubs mid 8th inning!!!!! HOLY COW!!!!!!

Cubs stomp Brewers 15-2, missed the game but seen the highlights. The Professor gets his 1st win of the season and the bats are alive in Cubs land. Cubs now (10-9) are just 1 game behind the Brewers (11-8) for 1st place in the NL Central. Lets keep it going, 4 wins in a row!

    • I do think its weird how this Julio Jones chatter keeps staying attached to us
    • Between Canada and the USA?   I usually drive to Montréal twice a year and was planning on Quebec last summer ....   hopefully this summer.
    • If Doyle doesn’t retire already had him being cut saving the Colts $5.45 million against the cap next season.  A replacement in FA would be TE Dallas Goedert (Eagles).  In Round 1 am projecting TE Jalen Wydermyer from Texas A&M to be a target.   Both Rhodes and Carrie I project to be unsigned.  RCB Rasul Douglas (Raiders) would be a backup RCB might be a target.  If we had the cap space RCB Darious Williams (Rams) went UDFA to NFL star 11m valuation (15m easily).  Still hold out on adding FS Marcus Williams (Saints) who is playing on a 10.6m tag.  Should get around 4yr/60m 35m guaranteed.   In the end I doubt the Colts sign any of these options and focus on the draft.   I like the Sam Tevi addition and think the Colts got a steal of a deal for him.  Am hoping Fisher is healthy and can start by week 5 giving the Colts an option to trade Tevi to a team that just drafted a rookie LT that is struggling or got injured and need trade capital.  See Will Holden as our 3rd LT and Davenport getting released during cut downs.  One idea is to sign Fisher to his one year contract this year and use additional capital to go after someone younger like RT Brian O’Neill (Vikings).  Was very high on O’Neill coming out of college as a LT.  O’Neill and Smith are two of the best players currently playing RT that moved from original college positions and have flourished.  O’Neill would be a long-shot addition but would create options to mix-n-match scenarios here.  Either way by not drafting a rookie OL that can start we are going to be financially hurting I believe next off-season unless we cut players like Doyle and Stewart with a Post-June 1 designation.  I don’t see the Colts being aggressive next off-season in Free Agency but below is an early look to next off-season have been working on.   FA Adds RT Brian O’Neill (move to LT) 4yr/64m 16m APY with 30m guaranteed.  Option 2: resign Fisher with 2 year extension 12m/15m   Cut IDL Grover Stewart – save 8.125m or 9.378m June 1 Cut TE Jack Doyle – save 5.45m   Resign/Extend LB Darius Leonard -not a true MLB. My original offer 5 years $82.5 million 40m guaranteed  RT Braden Smith 4/58m 30m guaranteed LG Nelson 5 years $85 million (17m) = 15m, 16m, 17m, 18m, 19m – top LG makes 14.781m / yr TE Mo Allie-Cox 3yr/20.8 or 6.93 APY (5.5-6.8-8.5)  WR Zach Pascal 3/24 8m APY (5.4-8.6-10)  LDE Tyquan Lewis 3/11.4m 3.8m APY (2.2m, 3.8m, 5.4m)  RB Nyheim Hines 3yr/13.645m (4.55m APY) (base 3.9m, 4.5m 5.65m with 1.35m roster bonus each year) Similar to A. • As you likely guessed, I think we either re-sign Fisher or re-sign one OR both of Tevi and/or Davenport.   Figured if we couldn’t find a LT that worked for us at pick 54 this year,  we’re likely not going to find one in the 2nd round next year.  I think we’d fill the hole with someone until 2023 and use our 1st in that draft to fill the LT.  But for now, I’m guessing EF.      As to CB, if we had to, we could go corner in the 2nd and TE in the 3rd.  But, for whatever reason, I’m far more optimistic on Rock and Tell than most here.
    • Believe it or not, some people thought JT was better than Saquan
