There are many guys on the Cards that I am forgetting. Jay, who were some of the pitchers.

The Pirates had very good pitching. Drabek, Smiley... there is one I am forgetting. I think his name started with a B. He used to kill the Mets.

Yes, Crews, Bobby  Ojeda and can't recall the last one. He was a young guy.

Bob Ojeda was but he survived. Tim Crews was killed unfortunately RIP.

I did not know that Bielecki was on that team. Mets did well against Bielecki when he pitched against them. 

 

I loved it when the Mets went against Bielecki and Brad Penny of the Marlins.

Back in those days, players sacrificed a lot. Jay Bell of the Pirates sacrificed more than any player back then.

The Pirates had some solid teams in the early 90's with Bonds, Van Slyke  and Bonilla. Their 1979 team that won it all is the only team to comeback from 3-1 and have to win Game 6 and 7 on the road to win a WS. We are family!! That was Stargell and Parker.

 

Cubs just became the 2nd team last season.

Wasn't Farnsworth a preacher in Fletch 2? He was the preacher that played in Full Metal Jacket . I think his name was Farnsworth? Chevy Chase as Fletch was priceless.
