This is a dominant performance so far tonight Offensively and Pitching wise. Hamels gets an A tonight. Heck of way to start off August. Darvish and Bryant both say they are feeling great too. Still no word on Morrow?

Maddon experiments alot, alot of people don't like it but I do because what he is doing is seeing what will work best before the Postseason begins.

The wind is really blowing in tonight so Runs have been to tough to come by. Bote just missed a 2 Run HR by a foot but lead 1-0 going to the 6th.

Well that was crap! Padres now lead 3-1 with a HR with the wind blowing in.

Padres suck, 4th worse record in the league and we are down 3-1 vs these clowns. Just don't get it from night to night. Wind is blowing in 1000 miles an hour and they still hit a HR and we can't, funniest thing ever.

Dodgers lead the Brewers 6-1 so at least they are going to lose. Cubs will still remain in 1st place if that holds up.

Pretty bad night. Padres have lost 7 in a row so they were due for a win and were off last night too. Maybe we thought we could just show up and beat this Bad team? We should win tomorrow for sure. Brewers are now down 7-1 so lets just flush this down the toilet and move on

This is more like it, Rizzo just blasted a HR. Cubs up 4-1 in the Bottom of the 7th. We are the only day game today. Brewers host the Rockies tonight. A win here by the Cubs would put them at 63-46, Brewers are currently 63-49.

Cubs win 5-4! That was more like it. Now all the pressure is on the Brewers tonight to keep pace when they host the Rockies.

 

NL Central Standings as of now are:

1. Cubs 63-46 *best record in the NL

2. Brewers 63-49 (1.5 back)

3. Pirates 56-53 (7 back) Pirates have tiebreaker over the Cards

4. Cardinals 56-53 (7 back)

5. Reds 48-61 (15 back)

Well, they went 1 for 2 of the games I attended today/yesterday, could have been worse! Had a great time, Seats today were great as well! So much fun to be in this stadium and the North end, surrounded by fellow Cubs fans!!!!! Life is good!!!

It is cool going to a couple of games. Last night was a stunner but today's nailbiter made up for it. We have been inconsistent lately but have been winning when we have too.

Brewers keep getting lucky. I see they won last night with a walkoff HR in the 9th with 2 Outs to beat the Rockies. Off of Wade Davis of all people LOL. Cubs just have to keep winning and worry about their own selves. They still have a 1 game lead over the Brewers. Pirates beat the Cards as well in a series IMO that will determine who stays in the Division race. Right now the Pirates are 6.5 back and now the Cards are 7.5 back.

Cubs win 5-4 again. 2nd day in a row Strop came in in the 9th to close it out. Pressure back on the Brewers once again to keep pace when they host the Rockies tonight. NL Central Standings as of now are:

Brewers are up 1-0 in the 4th over the Rockies. They just aren't losing right now and we are messing around with a crappy team. Brewers play the Padres next, watch the Padres will play like the crappy they are against them but against us the Padres play like the 1998 Yankees
