Colts Vs. Texans Game Day Thread

There's the game.  Hopefully this is the first of four straight losses that result in Pagano and Grigson being fired and an actual competent group of people brought in

we could not block their front all day...that's why we didn't run it....

I didn't think it was a bad call...we just couldn't execute it

Yeah it needs to happen.  They're going to get rocked against Minnesota and Oakland most likely also.

Well deserved loss! Disgraceful performances this year by the WHOLE team and coaching staff. How in the world did the coach and GM get extensions????

4th and one and in the shotgun again. Learn from mistakes? Not this P.O.S. staff...

God this team sucks...

At this point, there's no need to win any more games. Let's just use today's game plan to ensure we lose out and clean house.

Why in the hell do we constantly want to throw the stupid ball on 3rd/4th and one.  Run the ****** ball you stupid coaches.  That's it.  I'm done with Pagano. The guy is a damn ******.

And to turbin for that matter,  the guy that can't catch %.

Where the hell was gore?

So done with this season and this team.

Maybe I'll watch next season if we get a team that knows how to play and a coach that knows how to coach. Failure at every position.

Welp for the second year in a row the Texans win to put us out of the playoffs. The only difference this year is the Titans still have a chance to take the division.

Well now we can focus on the off season, since playoff hopes are done. Serious work needs to be done on this team this offseason season. And one has to wonder how much longer can it be acceptable for us to be a team that is really only good at being consistently inconsistent. It's the trends repeating themsleves over and over and over and over again.

This era needs to end, period.  How anyone continues to defend Grigson, I have no idea.  Does anyone really believe there is no other management  type out there who could do better than the 30th ranked D and one of the worst O-lines in the game?  End the insanity.

Don't care what the "real" fans say.

I hope we lose the last three games thus improving the draft position and resulting in the firing of Pagano and Grigson.

If this isnt the nail in the coffin for this regime I dont know what it will take. Pathetic and embarassing.

Beginning to think Irsay needs to get BACK on the pain killers ..... kind of like a Dr. House situation, maybe he thinks better on drugs.....

I am all about continuity and not becoming the Browns by firing everyone every year, but Irsay has to make a change when the Texans win the division two years in a row with trash qb play!

    • And I'm not even a huge fan of that unless the Colts win the draw!  If the Colts win the draw I will completely forget how unfair or silly of a way that is to determine draft order (Which can make or break franchises for years.)
    • Round 2a - #34 A Ross Blacklock B Tee Higgins C Trevon Diggs   Round 2b - #44 A Michael Pittman B Julian Okwara C Laviska Shenault   Round 3 - #75 A Albert Okwuegbunam B  Hunter Bryant C Chase Claypool   Round 4 - #122 A Michael Ojemudia B Brycen Hopkins C Darrynton Evans   Round 5 - #160 A James Morgan B  Johns Simpson C Collin Johnson   Round 6a - #193 A Harrison Hand B Kindle Vildor C Van Jefferson   Round6b - #197 A John Simpson B Garrett Marino  C Lamar Jackson
    • Still like him. Also think they can work more with him on his throwing motion. He looks like he's already on it a little judging by the video of his "pro day." He has a tendency, probably from his baseball days of throwing the ball like a shortstop, all upper body and not stepping thru his throws. Got worse in 2019. Go back and look at his 18 tape and he was stepping thru and getting more on the ball. What I do really like is he seems to see the game and the field better than anyone other than burrow. And he doesn't get rattled.
    • 1. ERFA is meaningless because it's not even really a free agent.  An ERFA has to take a minimum contract if tendered by their team.  They can't negotiate with other teams unless their team doesn't tender them a minimum contract.  We would have Kelly on the cheap for at least 2 more years after this season.  Possibly 3.   2. Not really.  Kelly's big drawback that pulled him down to the last pick of the 7th round was his behavior and immaturity.  Immaturity and bad behavior are the least tolerated in QB's.  He had some other negatives on his play but no more than any other QB prospect.  It was the immaturity that killed Kelly.  If he was a mature player he was probably at least a mid-round pick.   3. Again you can't know that.  It's hard to say.  It was odd that they kept him on the roster after bringing him up to be Hoyer's backup.     I'm not saying Kelly is the solution or anything.  I don't know if he's really grown up or not other than having stayed clean thus far.  (While it's certainly a good thing I don't consider spending a year without getting in trouble with the law to be a noted accomplishment.)  We know so little about the situation.  Reich and Ballard know more.  But I will repeat what I already said once.  You do yourself a dis-service to pretend that Kelly is an ordinary 7th round pick.
