Noah Spence is coming along well

I was reading this film breakdown, I am impressed with how he has been doing lately:

Yeah he's starting to pick it up.   On the flip side the Golden Boy Robert Nkemdiche can't even make it on the field for any significant snaps.

Yep. What 6.5 sacks so far? But no he's never going to be an impact EDGE rusher lol. I wanted this kid so bad and I know its WAY too early to know anything for sure but as of now.... From the looks of things (getting Green and Clark in 2 & 3) we're nuts for not trying to move up in the 2nd to get him after he started falling.

Colts Did try to trade up into the top of the second.  The reports at the time thought that it was for Spence or Jack.

Few who know football thought Spence would not be an impact EDGE rusher.     That's a complete straw man.

 

All of the NFL passed on hm in the first round.      So, you should ask yourself why?

 

And you don't know whether we tried or not to trade up,  you're guessing that we didn't.     You may be right, but it's only a guess.

 

And then, of course, we get back to the fact that he had character red flags in his profile,  that's pretty widely known and Irsay and Grigson don't want to use a pick from the first four rounds on a kid with character issues.

 

The Colts want good kids who we can count on.

 

Sucks for us because players like Spence are hard to find.....

His issue is lack of effort and work ethic, he had the same issues in college.

Yeah pretty sure what dropped him where Character red flags.  Not any concerns with his ability to play.

There were some concerns about his 3 down ability, particularly when it came to the running game.  Thus far, he's seen the bulk of his snaps on passing downs.  I'm not sure how well he's come along defending the rush, but he did a good job against the Panthers.
