Manning had Tom Moore for 11 years. What stability has Luck had?

Seems like you think I was taking a shot at Luck? I wasn't. The talent surrounding him since day 1 minus a handful of players has been mind blowingly pathetic. However he does have glaring holes in his game. A couple of which I think will always be there

Seasons over. 3-5, GB,Pats, Pittsburgh up. Vikings. Houston winning despite Osweiler. That's a wrap. Two straight years of no playoffs. Been awhile, but it couldn't last forever. The GM hasn't done a very good job at building any kind of depth, the 3 straight poor drafts after Luck have come home to roost. Kind of reminds me off the mid-90s when Tobin was GM. They went from a playoff team to the worst team in football fast because of poor drafting. It resulted in PM behind available but that's not going to happen twice.

Don't worry, both Grigson and Pagano will be around next year to rectify things. :billiejean:

They had Luck under a rookie contract for years and somehow managed to get worse fast.

Gregson is a complete * ,, he needs to go ASAP

true but the staff is probably wondering draft position and getting their board together the way they handle  this team & have forgot have to coach game day

Irsay probably thinks we are like 7 and 0. With his comments how we could be undefeated it makes me wonder if he even watches the game up in his booth or just let's grigson and pagano tell him a complete fabrication.

Colts need to sharpen their axe. The wood chopping is bad today.

Well it feels like they're trying to chop titanium with a dull hatchet with a loose wooden grip, then the blade flies off the grip and dinks off the grass.

    • I don't think Ertz at this stage of his career is a big upgrade of our group.
    • Yeah...Wentz would have to be hurt to not be playing. How could you spin benching Wentz to save your 1st round pick...not only to your fans but the locker room as well? Not only does it show that you made a big mistake, but it also shows you care more about draft picks than a vet QB...or about putting the team in the best position to win.    The optics on that are terrible. And if they wouldn't bench JB in the back half of the 2019 season...they aren't benching a more accomplished QB...especially for a guy like Eason or Ehlinger.   I think the only way they move on from him would be some type of unfortunate bad injury (which hopefully doesn't happen).
    • I'd love to have Ertz, and I think Reich & Ballard would too.  I just think some other team (Cardinals, Bills, Titans?) is going to want him more.
    • I was thinking that earlier too but i bet he is one of those guys that drops weight immediately upon retirement.  I think i read him saying he ate something ridiculous like 6000 calories a day and it was work to eat like that.
    • I think those are numbers from the sportsbooks. W/L totals are typically conservative on the high end and the low end. Very hard to predict an NFL team winning 13+ games...and even more difficult to predict a team winning 4 or less.    I could definitely see JAC scraping together a 7-10 record...maybe even 8-9. They have a new HC, a franchise QB prospect and a pretty strong group of playmakers on offense.   The latest number I saw for HOU was 3.5 though. But even with their turmoil, it's tough to bet on a team going 3-14 or worse over the course of a season.
