Cant run hurry up all the time....you wouldn't have any linemen left.

But I agree..we should do it at selected times earlier

That's why Chip Kelly has special diets and health regimens for his players.  So they can run his up tempo style.  We are not prepared like that.  We can go no huddle, but always up tempo.

We should start the game in the hurry up. Get Luck in a rhythm and tire that defense out early. It'll really pay dividends later because Luck will have the time to take the deep shots.  Chud needs to realize this and it'll get our offense started quicker.

wow maybe my 1-3 comment was premature

you cant blame us for over reacting.  the team plays like crap for 3/4 of the game nearly every week

this team could be good but they wont get there with pagano

I think over reaction is the correct appraisal. The colts were not being dominated, they just needed to clean a few things up

Can you believe this! One more stop and we can win this game??

I'm in shock. Any team that plays the way we did for 3 quarters should lose by atleast 20

In all fairness, were playing the Jags. If this was a good, or even decent team this comeback would probably be a non-factor.

That's what you get with a Rex Ryan-led team.  Undisciplined, immature

It's not an overreaction.  Pagano and Grigson need to go, Irsay needs to step down.  This isn't a good roster and we don't have a shot at winning a Super Bowl.  Just because a terrible Jags team can't put us away, doesn't mean anything was an overreaction

Ugh. Go away bandwagoner.

Says the fool posting only when we start coming back. I'm always a fan of this team but I want us to be successful and Luck not to be permainjured. Wanting to win like this is foolish and will get Luck hurt.

hard to tell myself not to over react when its the same thing every week

we are not terrible, but we are not good enough to contend either

Down by 3 points to TY from Andrew, Colts should score in the next possession. Even if it means going into overtime.  Edit; Jags just scored back down to 10 points.

Play hurry up offense all game next week against the Bears defense and see what happens.  It can't be any worse than what we've witnessed these first four games.

    • For me it was between Rock and Turay, and while I think Rock's going to be very very good, I gave Turay the edge (pun intended) based on the flashes he showed before getting hurt.
    • i would probably trade back( or up to get a QB if it looks like they will be gone), maybe consider lamb   thats pretty early for a DT imo, they would need to be very very good for me to consider a one there.  i would not usually want a guard at 6 either but nelson was worth it, a dt would have to be on that level for me too
    • We'll never know what happened behind the scenes in regards to Luck's retirement.  He may have mentioned it to Irsay or Ballard in March and they told him to "wait on it and see how you feel."   Or, he may have come up with it some time in the summer.  I don't have a problem with the retirement, just when it happened.  It left the organization in a very bad position and if it would have been announced in March, Ballard could have looked into doing something in FA or the draft.  As far as Ballard's philosophy is concerned, I believe in the "build through the draft" philosophy but we have to consider that not all draft picks work out well for most teams, only a small percentage.  If you have holes to fill now, FA is sometimes the only way to go.  Win five years down the road is fine but teams and fans want to win now.  On the other hand, I don't like the idea of signing every FA that hits the market and paying them astronomical salaries.  I would, however, love to see us be a little more active in FA if that's possible.  For example, why not draft a QB and get a FA QB that he can learn from for a year?  A FA DT would help if one isn't available in the draft; waiting until 2021 or 2022 for that great, pass-rushing DT doesn't make any sense when you can get a good one in FA.
    • Brown, Epenesa, Simmons, Jeudy, Kinlaw, Wirfs, Lamb... Dont care which QBs are drafted... Build that Defense and/or strengthen the Offensive line or Receiving core... No project QBs until round 3. QB in FA...sure.  That QB risk (Lack of production next year(s)) is not worth the draft capital Ballard has built up. If more than one of those guys are available at our pick...Then I’m ok with trading back a couple slots...pick up another 2nd next year.
