Vontae has the ability to be a top 5 corner but does not always play like one.

Anderson is good.

Green has ability but calling him very green is a stretch after 1 game.

DQ is not good, Mathis is a shell of himself, Cole sucks, Moore isn't good, Walden not good, McGill average.

you can call me a bandwagon fan all you want. I'm just not a blind homer like you

I'm not gonna turn this thread into a personal fight between us.  I bet this D looks better when we get everyone back.

Agreed we can't go man to man with the personal we've got out there but soft zone is just inviting the slow death by the running game and the dink and dunk under.

Quite frankly whatever we do on D we're going to be up against it with so many out. Why can't people see this??

Regardless our best shot coming in was to invite a shoot out. Still not too late but we gotta get something going before half.

So I Moore is good..........NOT!

He got stiff armed on a crossing route. Not much defense for that.

22+ mins of play, we have 52 offensive yards and have given up over 200 yards on defense

We might actually be worse than new Orleans defense from last year lol

Who would you replace him with, at this point in the season?

That, I have no clue. What is going on with this %? Our players have no grit and get hurt too easily.

Can't move the ball, can't stop their offense. Yeah, we are going 0-2.

Chargers look really strong - Rivers will tear this defense apart. That's 0-3.

I guess what we're both saying is: We need to move the ball and score 30 points

where is big mouth Mike on here?.....be patient with Pagano he says...coach an GM have both had enough time to draft and DEVELOP talent.....Defense totally sucks ...DBs are a bunch of soccer players that if they ever get close enough to the opposite teams' player...they get hurt.  We pick up players past their prime and expect them to deliver, reward pieces of crap like Costanzo with huge contracts and we wonder why we suck

Agree and agree. The best Defense we could put out their today would be to keep them on the bench as much as possible but the O is stuttering again. It's maddeningly frustrating. I know we're up against Denver and they are a very very good unit, but I really do think this O has the ability to be special when it's clicking.

If/when Rex gets fired, I wouldn't mind considering him as our next DC if we part ways with Monachino.  But as of now, I think we stick with him.

Great play recognition by Butler!  Hopefully he isn't hurt too bad.  We can't have more injuries to the secondary

Wait players getting hurt is now on the DC?

Rex would let his ego in the way before accepting anything less than HC. I truly hope he goes back to it considering how he is as an HC.

Conditioning too. This is unacceptable.

Butler INT! Of course that would happen though.

Even when something good happens, we can't just get away with it at that.  We have to have an injury or something thrown in there

I've never seen injury situations like this. Every single play I'm expecting a Colt to be on the ground

I wish all of the negative Nancy posters would settle down and wait until we aren't using 5th string guys on defense. When everyone is back and if the defense is still sucking, then you can be your happy and negative self.

    • I am going to be fine with whatever Ballard does because he has earned that.   I would be stoked with Jeudy if what i read comes close to being true.   However, no rookie is going to easily be the alpha when Hilton is there.  They will be a Beta who the Alpha trains to be the Alpha when he hangs up his cleats.
    • If Jacoby lies on the beach and lets the waves roll up and around him, when he gets up, what is left in the sand......   ......is a Jacoby Brissett impression.
    • This is reasonable. I think it's possible any of them doesn't start day 1. But Herbert, Tua and Burrow are more likely to be ready indeed.
    • Coltsfan40 ... So glad to meet you! A man after my own heart! I also am a long time Colts fan residing in lower Delaware all my life very close to the Maryland line. I also stuck as you put it. Your post was difficult to read but i loved it. I at first thought the Colts should do whatever was necessary to get one of the top QB's in this years draft. Thus, my thought was you can't win consistently without one and since we don't have one lets get on with finding one. Well, i've been thinking lately maybe what you say might be the beat approach. I mean, we do have needs on d-line and possibly o-line among other needs. Therefore, i think we should draft a QB 2nd round at the earliest. Let him sit and develop. My feelings, which is not popular, is unload JB and keep Hoyer and make Kelley the starter and see what happens in 2020. If he works out we have options and if he doesn't work out we still have options. I know this is not popular but i think this is the smartest thing Ballard and Co. could do at this time. Anyway, keep rooting on the Colts and i will be right there rooting with you.
    • Well with the media thinking we are in on love means there is a 99.9 percent chance he isn't our guy . Our staff is all about misdirection and not showing there hand .
