Pats made key plays when they had to, going for a 4th & 1 down 16-20 and getting it. Colts would have never gone for it or executed it vs that D-line of the Ravens.

At least Bostonians will not trash our city like the Baltimore folks will. The Baltimore folks' grudge is bigger.

Right that 4th and 1 was BB.

Our conservative Dungy or Caldwell never would have called it.

No the Bostonians will just walk around in their Brady jerseys and pink Red Sox hats with a smug air of superiority thinking they are better than all the Indy folks. Bunch of elitist smucks. Enjoy them.

I don't care who they are, I think they'll enjoy Indy and I hope everyone makes them feel welcome. We don't know them aside from their team loyalty. They aren't there on a whim to make fun of the Colts, they're there to cheer on their team. I hope Indy makes a great impression.

I can only speak for myself, but I'm rather excited that some great teams are lining up for the Super Bowl this year. The 9ers can go for a 6th Super Bowl, this time led by a man who's name is in the rafters of the building he'll be playing in. Or Peyton's brother could win his second Super Bowl. Or Indy could get to see one of the greatest head coaches ever and one of the greatest QBs ever win their 4th. I'm a football fan before I'm a Colts fan. I'd be rather upset if the Colts left tomorrow, but I still love this game. I don't see why I should be upset that a great team is heading to Indy to play for a Super Bowl. They certainly deserve it.

Ed .trust me on this one..

You didnt want 2 weeks of Baltimore crying about how we stole their team...

On national TV....coast to coast

Of the two choices left....I'm okay with the Patriots

I actually agree with Unclemark. It amazes me that after 28 yrs. those Baltimore people still act like a bunch of crybabies. Not to mention the hypocrisy from them considering they stole Clevelands franchise. Somehow they always forget that little tidbit of information.

Another classic example of a game, where Brady did jack s**t and the team won a game.

But i am sure our Pats fan will go Clutch Brady.

Brady said at the end of the game that he was awful. Unlike someone else, Brady always puts the blame squarely on himself. He ALWAYS has done that. Sorry if that doesn't fit into your image of Brady, but Brady is on a local radio station every Monday morning, and he's very honest.

Classic example, btw? Is that why Brady has led his team for the most wins in the playoffs all time, tied with Joe Montana? Brady struggled against the #2 defense in the NFL. I remember another QB whose defense was the main reason why his team won a SB.

Yes, we would have gone for it were the situation exactly the same. With that little time, down by 4, they would go for it. We've done it before.

But just for hypothetical-sake, we wouldn't have even been in that situation, because Manning never has trouble ripping the Ravens D apart anyway. They give Brady far more trouble than they have ever given Manning.

Nobody is really thinking about the fact that this could end just as badly for Pats fans as it could for us. Can you imagine the level of razzing and harassment Pats fans will receive in a city full of Colts fans if they lose to the Giants again, in our house of all places? The hilarity and madness that would ensue would be priceless

Not sure on that with our coaches. Sure, we have done it , once in a million.

All the SB win are defense, special teams and Bill Belichick. Of course Pats deserved to win but its not coz of Brady.

Lets not get blown over with Brady won playoffs, Brady own SB etc. Its a team win and your buddy sure sucked last night.

How is it going to be like? Lots of bar fights?

I don't think this is going to go over so well.

I hope that we Hoosiers step up to the plate and are gentle hosts. That being said, the first time a Pats fan starts in about Peyton, with beer.... That could get ugly real quick.

    • I would but would want a deal where it was a third round pick, but couldn’t see Saints doing that.  Woukd have a high end CB and still have our top two picks
    • nice     Edit:   Also both the trades mentioned here pretty much followed the draft value chart.     Talking trading up to #38 from #44 and offering a 4th   Difference in #38 and #44 is 60pts(avg 4th round value)   Ended up trading up to #41 from #44 for a 5th.   Difference in #41 and #44 is 30pts(avg 5th round value)
    • Our defense will never be GREAT as long as we play * defense by having corners 10 yards off the ball on 3rd and 3. And an unbelievable unwillingness to blitz more than 4 times a game. And also, it doesn't matter who is in the secondary if the front seven can't stop the run(we can) and get to the passer(we did ok getting to the passer, but we need more blitzing from lb'ers). Our first pick should be an offensive lineman like Fuaga, Powers-Johnson, or Barton. Then target a receiver like Polk, Pearsall, Washington, Corley, or Roman Wilson in the second or third rounds. As much as I would like to get Bowers I just don't see it happening. And we need a very good linebacker to go along with Speed and Franklin.
    • Yeah, could very well be. I think I remember Ballard said he did it to have more flexibility when asked. if it is Paye, I would rather see him play out the year before extending.
    • The idea of DeJean going in the late first round is due to his instincts and overall very competent play in nearly all aspects of DB play.  Cover 3 FS is more valuable, IMO, than a cover 2 FS.   Contrast DeJean's overall RAS and talents with Hooker, who was only good at being a single high deep guy...especially his rookie year where he picked off bad QBs for a while...and DeJean at 22 or later with a 3rd round pick gathered from a trade down is a much better decision than Hooker was at 15.   BTW, Blackmon had the same ACL injury as Hooker and did well as an overall S as a rookie, but wasn't a single high speed guy, and is probably still a better overall S now than Hooker is in DAL...both having the exact same injury years ago.
