Steelers and Colts are among the teams that have done the most due diligence on Karl Joseph.

Spence and Thompson or Joseph and Correa? I actually don't hate either option, but prefer the first...

My dream and ideal first 4 rounds would be

1 Noah Spence EDGE EKU

2 Darian Thomson  S Boise St

3 Jaylon Smith ILB ND

4 Jack Allen C MSU

The only thing I'd change is I'd like to have an impact DL player added like a Vernon butler or billings.

I think Spence could be had in the 2nd. Joseph will probably get a late 1 early 2 round pick.

I don't think spence is goin in the second he is being mocked gone before 18 on ESPN. if he's gone I want Billings cause Conklin who I wanted a long time has shot all the way up to being a top 10 pick.

I like Joseph. I would prefer Thompson though because he's got the bigger body and better box skills. Wouldn't be upset at drafting either round 2.

Same I don't dislike Joseph just small and don't wanna reach for him cause I don't think he falls to our 2nd

I'm actually starting to come around to the Spence pick at 18 with the more information that comes out about him.  I think he may be past his troubles.  It is risky though.  Love Thompson

That is our next Bob Sanders! Actually what is funny he could be!

I'd be cool with Joseph although I have a fear his injury history is going to look like Bob Sanders too.  He's so wreckless with his body I can just see it coming.

Yeah all the info coming out sounds great the kid really took a step forward in making sure he didn't fall into a deep hole he could get out of. the hard work he put in to get where his is now is the kind of effort id love on the colts

i also love thomson after watching some of his stuff I like him over Joseph he'll be even better with a lil DB help from Pagano

You also have to realize that Grigson breaking his cardinal rule about when to draft character guys is a long shot.

I know everyone overreacted to his press conference where he said there are some character guys they cleaned up and feel better about but I don't think that necessarily means they're pulling the trigger on Spence at 18.

I think the main question is not whether he will draft a 'character guy' or not(I don't think he will). The question is whether he thinks Spence IS a 'character guy' or he is one of the people he said out FO has cleared.

Wouldn't spend more than a 5th on Smith.

i don't see him falling out of the 3rd he was way to good a player he was possibly the best player in the draft before he got hurt so someone will take him prolly a team with a ton of picks

Hopefully they don't share the same "supplement" dealer then. Karl doesn't need his biceps popping off whenever he reaches for a bottle of water.

Im not even sure I'd go with a 5th. Over the last 2 years he had 127 pass rush attempts he had 4.5 sacks. Has potential to be a great pass rusher with added strength and time to hone his skills but much more of a blitzer in my opinion at this point with good cover traits

He said it without naming or hitting at specifics so I will keep an open mind for Spence.  If it don't happen then it don't happen.

Too small.  Pass.

He really isn't THAT small, He is 1" shorter then Ed Reed who was listed at 5'11" and the some weight at 205lbs. I to prefer my Safeties a bit bigger...6' at least and around 215-220 but we aren't talking about Bob Sanders small here either. 5'10" is really my cut off point however.....Especially if they prefer to play reckless with there small frames

So he is 5'10". He looks slighter build than 205.  As a centerfielder I guess that's big enough, but I think he likes to throw his body around too much for the size it is.  Nice player, just better options.

Poor old Earl Thomas slides in at 5'10 and 202 ish. Da Bum!
Our D needs some Playmakers that is a FACT!

Well he would be a coverage ILB for us not like we would be drafting him to be a pass rush specialist. there is a reason he was the best player in the draft til the injury.

If the reports about him having drop foot problems are true, I'd be shocked to see him go before the 7th round. Nerve injuries are no joke. He's definitely sitting out the entire 2016 season, and it's entirely possible that he never plays again. He could make a complete recovery, but it's more likely that he's never the same player he was before the injury.

I compared him to Mathieu who I think is like 5'9". Similar type of play style but he does play with reckless abandon in the run game. His size could mean that his style will get him injured often. I think Thompson is a better option. He's bigger and makes solid tackles/stops in the run game. I like both though.

I think everyone is dropping him way to far he was the #1 player lattimore still got drafted and smith is WAY better of a prospect someone is going to risk it because of how good he was

Lattimore wasn't even in the league for two years before he retired, because he never managed to retire from the injury, so I don't think he really helps the case for taking Smith with a mid-round pick. It doesn't matter how good of a prospect he was before the injury; what matters is how teams think he'll recover, and that isn't even looking like a 50/50 shot right now.

It does matter it don't matter how many years lattimore played he still got drafted after his injury problems even if smith only plays a year and retired it don't matter my point is he is getting drafted there is no doubt about it
