  1. Jets would like to make an offer to trade up, but the GM has to put the baby girl to sleep first... @CheezyColt @Archer

Sorry OPC, my first choice is on the board, so I don't think I'll trade.

The AFC South as a division has improved, especially at the QB position. Luck can sling it, Mariota can sling it and now they added Osweiler to team with DeAndre Hopkins.

You can never have enough secondary horses, like the Broncos showed with Chris Harris, Aqib Talib and Bradley Roby.

Thus, the Jacksonville Jaguars select  VERNON HARGREAVES III, CB - FLORIDA

This is why I like Chad72. He always provides context in whatever he writes. He gives you an overview of field generals in the AFC South & justifies that with the rise of QBs who can heave accurate long passes the necessity for upper-crust DBs.

Me? Hades I'm no draft guru. Nor do I wish to become one. I know who I lean on for analysis though: Dustin, krunk, Colts Legacy, Superman, Jvan, Jay Kirk, Archer, BrentMc11...

I know my limitations. So, I just shut up & listen to NFL experts much smarter than me...

Wown,  ragland at 10..  first real shocker to me.

@Archer is on the clock

The giants need a ilb, I really thought about Buckner but I have ragland higher on my board than I do Lee and DL is a little deeper this year then game changing line backers

Another request for @Superman or @21isSuperman: Can you guys put a line through the list of top ranked players posted just below the official draft board? That way we can get a quick idea of who is available.  There have been quite a few surprising picks already that don't match anywhere near the ranking list so people as this goes may not even realize who is still on the board when they pick.  Thanks in advance!

Thank you for that, but it seems like it would be easier for you and for everyone reading if you just lined out the  chosen people as we go on that one master list which is just below the master draft board.  Many won't even see this for example once we hit page 5 here.   I understand if you don't want to do it, but unfortunately non moderators can't edit anything after a short time.

Which team is now picking at #16? Is it Miami? It is still showing as Detroit's pick (on the first page of this thread).

See you all again tomorrow.

I thought I changed it. Yes, Miami is at #16.

Ok, we are in the middle of the 1st round and I have not seen one surprise yet. Who is going to be the Seattle of the draft and go outside of the big board and pick someone on their board? All chalk so far!

Well, there was like... Ragland at 10, which I thought was a surprise. Also, Buckner fell to 11 and Stanley to 13. If I were the Colts I would have tried to trade up to 10 for Buckner. I think he'd be worth it and is a great fit for 3-4.

    • Ballard completely rebuild 98% of the roster in three years. I don't count 2017 because he didn't have his own coaching staff and had to deal with Pagano. Even with Andrew Luck retiring, Ballard never stopped building the Colts into the highly talented roster they currently have today. I don't think Ballard gets enough credit just like I don't think Andrew Luck got enough when he was carrying the Colts pitiful roster for multiple years on his back.

    • Herbert certainly looked better for their team than Tyrod.   I will say that while I was impressed with Herbert's athleticism and poise, I think the hype train is going a little too strong for him already.  Will be interesting to see how he does over the course of the season.   I really think the Chiefs were caught off guard after preparing for Tyrod's boring ball control style.  They were also banged up on the line.  Herbert was exciting, compared to Tyrod, but I only counted about 5 completions that were actually thrown down field.  The rest of his yardage came from dump-offs and passes in the flat.  He also threw that momentum-swinging interception.   The good news for Herbert is that they play a terrible Panthers team this week.  Should be able to put up some nice numbers.
    • Maybe but I'm sure his unlimited funds had a little to do with it.
    • It’ll be interesting to see what Goodell will do.      His stated policy is that you don’t have to be convicted or even charged with a crime to be subject to NFL discipline.  So Roger could still levy punishment on Kraft.   Fine?   Suspension?   Remember what was done to Irsay.....   I’m confident something will be done.  The question is how much?
