Would you give a 2ed to the Phins for Oliver?

The Dolphins are going to try to tag Vernon Oliver then trade him. I doubt they get a 1st, but a 2ed isn't out of the question.

Pro's: He's young and a good pressuring DE.

Con's: Not exactly a good 3-4 fit and will command a large contract..

I wouldn't want to spend high FA money and a high draft pick for him.  Seems like investing double resources to get one player..  I'd rather spend more money for Von Miller and keep the draft pick.

Good luck to the Dolphins. Between all their other contracts they will be strapped to the cap if they tag Vernon which limits leverage. Teams will call their bluff, and wait for the Dolphins to cut him. IMO it would be a terrible move in the Dolphins tagged him.

I have heard the same rumor about the Jets tagging Wilkerson then trying to trade him as well.

No, it would basically be, the Phins tag him then trade him. The trade doesn't go through until he signs a long term deal. No deal, no draft pick.

The Bronco's will 100% tag Miller, just like the Panthers will tag Norman, so unless we offer a 1st PLUS we won't get any play for Miller..

He would have to agree to it, which means he is only going to accept a deal that pays him his asking price or close to it. We would be double paying.
