He is only good because of Brady.

He's a really good player. He not the best receiver in the NFL though, nor is he better than Calvin Johnson like some NE fans say.

I don't even understand this argument. Wes Welker is the best at what he does. Yeah, having Brady helps, but Wes Welker is one of the best slot WR's I've ever seen. In my book, the Slot receiver is often the most important one in an offense, that's where the match-ups come into play.

However, to compare him to the likes of Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald just isn't fair. They're not the same style of receiver....
