Tebow's John 3:16 Irony

Tebow is known for his eye patches being "John" on on patch and "3:16" on the other. In yesterday's game against the Steelers he threw for 316 yards and his yards per throw were 31.6. Also, and this is truely spooky, at the 3:16 PM yesterday I finished my third 16 ounce beer!!!!!!!! Can you believe it?!

Tim Tebow > Chuck Norris

Tim Tebow doesn't throw the ball, the ball jumps out of his hands.

Hold them horses. Chuck Norris just killed an entire rain forest for what you just said. Tebow may be good at football, but your talking about Chuck Norris, the guy who fought Bruce Lee and only came away with a a broken neck, and several broken limbs......

LMAAAO!

But this is Tim Tebow! He's just starting out and is already giving Chuck Norris headaches (is that even possible?). We're talking about a guy who on draft night called himself and told himself what team he was going to!

Tim Tebow vs Chuck Norris, we do not want this to happen. This battle may open up another dimension!

If you really want to get freaky with it.

Weeks 11, 12, 13. If you add Tebows completion, yards, and his total INT at that point. Well then..........

21+11+13+237+194+185+5= 666 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just sayin.........

I see your point but one can make any set of numbers come out to they way that you want, as they way you did, so it really don't hold any water, just saying . . . pick a number from 0 to 1000 and I could come up with a combination of any QBs numbers and match that number . . . so it really doesn't mean anything . . .

however if you pick a single number, like yards in a game, TDs in a game, etc. . . the likelihood of the connection greatly reduces . . indeed the chances of Tebow throwing for precisely 316 yards is a game, is about maybe 1 in 350, if you assume that he will throw between 50 and 400 yards (400-50=350) . . . so to hit it on the head it is 1/350, combine that with his first playoff game, one of best games in a while, a big upset, and Denver's playoff win in a while, etc . . .it makes tha 1/350 odds all the more special . . .not to mention the fact that partically number 3:16 is used in sports makes the whole connection a lot more than just a bunch of numbers . . .

You guys are getting ridiculous with all this conjecture over these "316" numbers.... this is all a coincidence and nothing more..... so would you please just knock it off??!!

what ever floats your boat my friend, but there are some out there that believe in signs and that the same may not necessarily be accidents, that is all . . . and not all of those who believe in signs are ones who find the same from the prohibited R word on this site . . . you dont have to agree with a specific sign but understand that are some that might in a particular instance . . . that is all . . .

And a missing patch of chest hair. Lee had to fight dirty to win that one.

His name in that movie was "Colt," was it not? Our team is named after Chuck Norris! Why do we have a horse for a mascott?

it's completely a coincidence and nothing more

there is no "sign" here

there have been even more insane coincidences in the world throughout history than the whole "316" thing

Why does everyone mock Tebow all the time for being moral and not afraid to say it? I think the 3:16 thing is amazing

No one is mocking Tebow for religion. They are mocking his consistent reference to it.

If Tebow uttered "macaroni and cheese" in substitute of Lord/Savior/Jesus Christ then people would be saying he needs to play for the Pats bc its owned by Kraft........

Thank obama for that.

Nice sig.

Has anyone called you out yet on your hypocrisys? Because I'd love to be the first.

:D It's a pleasure to be in complete agreement with you about something for once. (Which will likely cause you to reconsider your position :P )

coincidence or something more?

Jesus worked as a blue collar carpenter.

Manning wears a blue uniform at work.

Jesus said "break this bread."

Manning said "Cut that meat."

Jesus was the son of God.

Manning is the son of a Saint.

Jesus was part of the Trinity.

Manning was part of the Triplets.

Jesus was crucified by the Romans.

Manning was crucified by the Patriots.

I don't know if the reference to mac & cheese was just meant to be funny and it went over my head, but Robert Kraft does not own Kraft Foods. I think he is the chairman of The Kraft Group which has assests in paper and packaging.

:sigh: Once again, we have a thread that has taken a religious and even political twist . . . which is against forum rules.

Thread closed.

    • Right. But we also are expected to draft a corner, So the fact that DeJean can play either position, makes me think Ballard could have his eye on him.
    • As a Ballard type player, he seems to fit the bill.  Big 10. Excels at zone coverage. Elite athlete. Special Teams standout, Good tackler. etc. Colts may be able to trade back, and still land DeJean   Considered one of the Safest picks. Seven 2024 NFL Draft Prospects Who Are Safest Bets to Succeed at Next Level https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10113875-7-2024-nfl-draft-prospects-who-are-safest-bets-to-succeed-at-next-level   DB Cooper DeJean, Iowa   A fractured fibula during a November practice tempered any excitement regarding Cooper DeJean's draft status. So he's not been in the same conversations as the class' top defensive backs, specifically Toledo's Quinyon Mitchell and Alabama's Terrion Arnold. DeJean's profile projects just as well or better than the aforementioned cornerbacks.   Three specific attributes set DeJean's floor higher than anyone else among the back end.   First, the reigning Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year presents the positional flexibility and traits to start at cornerback or safety at the professional level, with B/R's Cory Giddings highlighting his coverage skills:   "DeJean excels in zone coverage, but he's versatile enough to play man as well. He shows a smooth backpedal and the ability to keep his leverage and quick footwork with few wasted steps. Although he transitions well, there are times where DeJean hops into his breaks; allowing a step of separation.   "When in zone, DeJean does a great job of reading and reacting to the quarterback's eyes. Pairing that skill set with his route recognition, he often puts himself in good position with leverage and positioning.   "While working downfield, DeJean has the strength necessary to hand-fight with tight ends and bigger receivers, as well as the speed necessary to carry twitchier receivers downfield. He also does a very good job of locating the ball and playing through the catch point."   Second, the high school track standout is an elite athlete who captured Iowa state titles in the long jump and 100-meter dash. Many expected him to blow the doors off Lucas Oil Stadium. Unfortunately, he wasn't ready to test in Indianapolis after being cleared a few weeks earlier.   "His acceleration is incredibly fluid and super powerful," NFL combine trainer Jordan Luallen told The Athletic's Bruce Feldman last summer. "He's the best athlete I've seen in person, pound for pound."   Finally, DeJean adds significant value as an elite collegiate returner. Big Ten coaches also awarded him Return Specialist of the Year this past season. DeJean averaged 13.1 yards per punt return over the last two seasons. A top-notch contributor anywhere along the defensive backfield and on special teams will provide excellent value in the NFL.   Potential Landing Spots: Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles
    • He could, but I think he's way more athletic than people give him credit for and projects way better as CB. Definitely could be a good safety, but I think if we drafted him, he fits well as a boundary corner for us.
    • I think we need to sign a vet, but Jackson isn't it. Age and his dirty playstyle are non-starters for me.   JuJu definitely flashed pretty well in the limited games we saw him in. If he's healthy, I think he'll be a solid CB for us.   He dominated every WR at the Senior Bowl, specifically in drills that heavily skew towards WRs, often using techniques he was just really learning in the pro-bowl practices (mainly press man techniques). He dominated in the MAC and dominated at Senior Bowl practices, and with his athletic traits, he projects very well to the NFL. I see him being a dominant CB in the near future. I don't necessarily want to take a CB at 15, but I wouldn't be mad if we took Mitchell.
    • There are quite a few articles on the internet that say he may transition to safety in the NFL. Interesting reads
