Miami Hurricanes To Name Mark Richt As Head Coach

Richt was never able to get Georgia close to the Championship.  Don't know why the Canes feel he's the man for the job, but at least they'll win under him I guess.

Of the choices they had I think this one is the best. He's a UM alumni and win wise he did well in Georgia. Hopefully for the U this move will get him to take the next step and bring Miami to a championship in 3-4 years

Glad the Golden era is over. Hopefully he recruits better. Miami just doesn't have the same appeal anymore to recruits. Long gone are the days of the U. Many students are just spoiled NY/LI kids that move down there for the better weather and don't support the team unlike the students of the past plus with the other Florida teams catching up and surpassing them it's an uphill climb.

Richt is a pretty good recruiter. He'll get them winning again for sure.

Championships I don't know about that.
