Why not? They've got a QB/gameshow host.. and whoever thought it was clever to pull this stunt, going rando QB in round 1 is lucky they've still got a job. The Packers using the first rounder on a offensive weapon or quality lineman really could legitimately be the difference between where the finished last year and playing in the SB. If I'm the Packers and I can undo this soap opera, cool. Why would the Patriots do this is my question.

I probably should have clarified. I read an article when we drafted him that said he wasn’t taught any pass rush moves in college. Not sure he even lined up in a 3 point stance. That’s what I meant. He had sack production in college but wasn’t necessarily a pass rush specialist. A lot of his production was athleticism, effort, and scheme.

An NFL analyst , Schaeger, who said that San Fran may have traded up to #3 to take a tackle has no idea what he is talking bout...lol -

I would not be surprised if he doesn't draft an edge player. He let Autry go and they still haven't signed Houston. I believe they want to give Lewis, Turay and Banagou one last shot at securing one of the Dend positions. I think it is a weak Dend draft. I bet he goes LT. -
Yes, when you combine the fact you have no LT with the importance of the position, you draft for need here. Outside of Taylor and possibly a few others, most of Ballard's picks have been need picks. It might be the best player on your board, but your board is filled with needs.
