Colts Vs. Jaguars Game Day Thread

Recommended Posts

Another  Sunday NFL Game Day is here again Colts fans!  :)  Our Indianapolis Colts are back in the friendly confines of the real Lucas Oil Stadium, as our Colts will try to both even their record to 2-2, and more important to themselves and the fans, demonstrate  a better performance on the field from their last home game with the New York Jets, and the urgency to win.

News this morning  Colts backup and veteran Matt Hasselback may start in place at QB because Andrew Luck suffered a shoulder injury.

But Indianapolis  have that opportunity to prevail over a winnable opponent  this afternoon as they host the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars.  Colts will try to win their six straight regular season game over the Jaguars this afternoon, and have not lost since a 22-17 loss at LOS more than three years ago back on September 23, 2012.  Colts have  outscored the Jaguars in the five previous games 161-43, and swept both games in the 2014 season 62-20.

Colts also amazingly have a current 13-0 record against AFC South opponents, including last Sunday's road win at Tennessee.  Colts also lead the all-time regular season series over the Jacksonville Jaguars in the previous 28 games, winning 20 games, while losing 8 games.

LOS's roof might be open prior to this afternoon's 1:05PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff, because the game forecast is mostly cloudy skies at 67 degrees, 15% precipitation, 59% humidity, and east/northeast winds at 9 miles per hour.

Visiting Jaguars are wearing their white jerseys and black pants, while the host Colts are earing their traditional blue jerseys, and white pants.

NO injuries, as both the Colts and Jaguars, and all NFL teams, will wear pink NFL apparel for Breast Cancer Awareness Month throughout October. Continue to stay Colts Strong, and GO COLTS!!!!! :cheer:

Go Colts!

We got this even if Andrew doesn't play. Hass can take care of things for 1 game. Still no word if Andrew will play. He remains Questionable just in case if you didn't know that.

Predictions:

Colts: Hasselbeck throws for 2 Touchdowns and a pick

Colts: Andre continues to struggle and moves down on the depth chart

Colts: Gore gets 100 yards rushing and a TD

Jags: Bortles throws for three TD's and no picks

Jags: The Jags front seven sacks Matt four times

Jags: Force two turnovers in the red zone.

Weeks 1 and 2 I predicted Colts wins and we lost. Week three I predicted a loss and we won. So continuing with that, I say Jags take it 31-21

Let's continue this dominance over the AFC South.  Bold prediction time!

Colts: With Luck out, we finally break that 100-yard RB drought today with Frank Gore

Jaguars: The Jags defense holds us to under 14 points until the 4th quarter

Sucks to see luck inactive, but I'm sure in the long run it's for the best. Let him heal up and be ready to go for Thursday. Looking for another win today. Gooooo Colts !!!!

This stupid Jets Dolphins game aint going to be over by 12 and we're gonna have to miss a couple mins. This kinda thing makes me so mad. I pay for the NFL Sunday Ticket, but if a game is on local it doesn't show it on Sunday ticket. So dumb.

    • Are we, as Colts fans, overvaluing or undervaluing Jacoby Brissett?   It probably depends on how you look at our backup QB.  If you are looking at him compared to other backup QBs around the league, you are probably undervaluing him.  I could make the argument that he is the most valuable backup in the NFL.  And I think Ballard agrees.   However, if you're looking at Jacoby as trade-bait, you might be overvaluing him.  A team trading for Jacoby would want him to be their starter.  Granted, this article is written by David Carr for NFL.com, so take it with a grain of salt, but he has at least 10 other QBs ranked ahead of Brissett for other teams to consider drafting, signing as a FA, or trading for.   http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001018216/article/ten-quarterbacks-worth-pursuing-via-tradefree-agencynfl-draft   I expected to see Brissett on that list.  When I didn't, I wondered if I'm overvaluing our backup by viewing him through my blue-colored glasses...   And I think the draft-stock of the QB prospects will only increase leading up to the draft.  I just don't see a team offering Ballard enough to part ways with Jacoby at this point.
    • I'd like to see more games for a bigger sample data. Richardson's expertise is brute raw strength, which is also why he did so well in college -- his opposition was undersized. Now we're placing Trent in a development league and suddenly we're surprised he's doing well? I'm not biting yet. You put me into a game with a bunch of old ladies and I can make myself look strong, too.
    • Fort Wayne, Indiana.   1995 AFC Chamuonship game its Harbaugh is when I started to be a Colts fan.
    • Flowers as well as Dante Fowler Jr. should also be available.  I would be happy will Flowers and Robert Quinn when he is released.  Those two would be great additions.  I can see Quinn getting double digit sacks again moving back to DE.
    • So Kaepernick did have his price?
