Colts Vs. New York Jets Monday Night Football Game Thread

3 of Luck's 5 interceptions this season were when he was targeting Andre Johnson. Maybe Johnson is secretly working for the Texans?

I would probably take

Big Ben

Brady

Manning

Eli Manning

Tannehill

Rodgers

Wilson

Palmer

over luck no questions asked

Ok I usually don't post hear but this is dumb. Being angry at Luck tonight is understandable but without him no playoffs the last 3 years. I don't get Colt fans, reading a bunch of post in here and it sounds like a bunch of bandwagon fans who don't know what they are talking about. Luck has been bad tonight but don't post when angry or drunk because it makes our fan base look stupid.

Sheesh he's been playing terrible.  I almost wonder if it's a conspiracy, the OL, the media is going to start clamoring off the bat that Luck should not be a Colt next year.  lol

As I stated conspiracy, but the media will have a field game with this 0-2 start.

No doubt...you know it's coming. We will see what this team is made of in the next few weeks. This could get real ugly fast.

This is bad we lost to good defenses. I expected us to compete great against good defenses!! Who do you blame coaches or the actual team?

Maybe this is what it will take for some big time changes to happen... like coaching changes. That's what I'm hoping at least... we're seeing the same stuff we saw last year.

Grigson better be working the hell out of the phones trying to get O-Line help. Trade picks do something

At this point it's too late...unfortunately. This is why so many people were upset on draft day. More focus was needed there during the offseason.

Pagano is making 7 figures to be horrible at his job

If Pep was his hire then yes, if Pep was Grigsons's hire then it's on him.

Does anyone really feel confident going to Tennessee, we have absolutely no reason to believe this team can beat anybody.

Well special teams is lackluster, the offense is inept, the defense is unreliable, our kicker can't make a field goal, and the coaching staff consists of Larry/Moe/Curly - so no, I don't see this team winning any games until they improve a lot.

Pagano doesn't have the guys prepared.  Grigson hasn't brought in enough talent.  Both guys need to go

Just realize this people, if Pagano and Grigson are fire tonight/tomorrow...the Colts will still be 0-2, and that probably won't have the impact you are imagining in your head. I do love the film Frankenstein though, so if you feel the need to gather your torches and pitchforks use that as a guide. Those people were organized, you don't want to come across as unorganized.

It's finally over.  That was embarrassing by the offense.  Let's try to follow all the forum rules when we're posting, however upset we may be.

YES DQ INJURIED YESSSSSS

That's not right. I don't care who the player is or the team he plays for or how good or bad he is, or how mad you are that colts got slaughtered tonight,

to cheer an injury is downright classless and just a scumbag move.

Our talent is way to good to be playing like this. Something needs to change. We are wasting away years of our young guys and going to ruin Luck

    • Correct.   i don’t think Luck is EVER coming back. Nor do I want him back nor should the team want him back. He left this team high and dry less than10 days before the start of the regular season. If I was an owner or a coach, I wouldn’t want him back unless there were some major stipulations added to his contract. Such as 100 percent reimbursement for all salaries paid from the time he was drafted if he were to retire again too close to the season. Put a cut off date around March 30th. Anything after that, he has to reimburse as stated above. Then and only then would I take him back
    • He's got plenty of money.   I think the only way he would come back is if he had the itch to play and thought he could win.   Maybe if Rivers and the Colts have a good season the chance at winning would be there.   Very doubtful that he ever plays again.   I'd give it a 10% chance.
    • You are reading it incorrectly.  He is saying that he said he was the first to say that Luck's injury (shoulder) was due to a snowboarding accident and everyone laughed at him.  He then says that he said, 3 weeks before Luck retired, that Luck was going to retire.
    • Snowboarding is an expensive recreational activity - weed is costly.
    • Reich intends to pit the two against one another in what many would consider Vinatieri's specialty: high-stress situations. The Colts coach explained that he will do his best to fabricate those situations during and after practice. One can be sure that without the added test of preseason games, the kickers' performance during these high-stress situations will go a long way in determining who wins the competition.   “They'll get all of their normal routines," Reich said. "But as a team, we'll create more team atmosphere, team kicking drills that will be heightened and weighted more heavily in the kicking competition."  Though Reich didn’t submit a “favorite” to win the battle, McLaughlin surely has the leg up in that he’s a somewhat proven NFL commodity. Last season, the undrafted free agent performed admirably in what amounted to a four-game audition with the Colts after Vinatieri succumbed to injury. Arriving in Indianapolis in the high-pressure role of replacing the kicker many consider the greatest of all time, McLaughlin drilled 5-of-6 field goals and all 11 of his extra points in those games. His performance in Vinatieri’s stead earned him a one-year contract with the Colts immediately following the season.    Of course, the man they call “Hot Rod” brings an impressive resume to the battle as well. During four years at SEC powerhouse Georgia, Blankenship was a model of accuracy and consistency. He connected on all 200 of his extra points and finished his Bulldog career an 82.5% field goal kicker and the school’s all-time leading scorer.  For his efforts -- and to keep him away from other teams -- the Colts handed Blankenship a $20,000 signing bonus, a hefty number among undrafted free agents. Despite McLaughlin’s incumbent status, Blankenship’s price tag and Reich comments foretell would should be an equal and open competition for the job.    https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/nfl/colts/2020/07/29/colts-vinatieri-era-indy-seemingly-over-mclaughlin-blankenship-battle-job/5536851002/
