We can call our backfield "The Over-the-Hill Gang".

I'd be more than happy to see Bradshaw back here. A combo of Bradshaw and Gore would be deadly.

For 6-8 games anyway. I like it, actually

I'm on the fence about it. He's a great back and probably top ten when healthy. But at best we'd probably get 8-12 games(if even that many) out of him before he gets hurt again.

That's just not a logical reason to not sign him, IMO. He will cost very little and, as you said, is a great back when healthy.

If he does end up injured again then you're just back to square one. High reward with little to no risk.

I completely agree with you. I guess we will see what happens. Would be a hell of a 1 2 punch.

I'm all for it he is a great back does have health concerns but high reward low risk move if he stays healthy we have a beast RB all year if gets injured we are right back where we are now . Knowing the system helps a lot not trusting Robinson as a lead back if Gore goes down .

CL,

I won't lie to you of all people primarily because you know your football & you think well on your feet & I think you would make a fine GM but that's another story for another day. LOL!

I was gun shy about bringing any aging back with lingering foot ailments back, but if this move keeps Gore fresher as the season progresses, I'm okay with it as long as Bradshaw is reasonable about his salary & he's not trying to break the bank overall.

Bradshaw does know how to hit the creases, let blocks develop, & run toward the daylight no question.

I think if Bradshaw is healthy and capable of being productive then bring him in. If he can come in and help take some of the carries and beating off of Gore to keep him fresh for the playoffs then I say go for it. If Bradshaw can stay healthy throughout the season and makes the playoffs with us that would be gravy.

No no no no why get a lineman for the offense

I think he means...

Why get a RB when we could pick up one of the many probowl free agent lineman available?

While I appreciate the translation jabbanobadda, just because you can obtain a new lineman you don't necessarily wanna introduce a new piece on the line during the regular season & mess up that fluid chemistry. Gelling just doesn't occur overnight not with a center pulling on certain calls or say understanding a QB's cadence at the line of scrimmage to draw the defense offsides. Plus, Bradshaw knows what we like to do in INDY so it makes a perfect fit on a been there done that front.

Good lord no. He was a decent back with injury problems on the wrong side of the age scale. We have a very good backfield with Gore, Robinson, and Varga. With Gore being 31? We need to let the young guys learn and both of them are capable of becoming important pieces in our SB runs.
