Well Dad can be 38 million without trading draft picks while stafford Wentz or Ryan would be 22 and draft picks. I'm sure they will try to resign him, but their cap space will make it hard and Dan may not want to return. As for the franchise tag, I don't think they would cut a lot of players just so they can tag and trade him, which they wouldn't get much because every team will know they can't keep him and field a competent team. Is that number include that he has been franchised before? I'm not 100% on how the franchise tag works but doesn't it increase if you were franchise tagged the year before

I believe Doyle only has one more year on his contract. I'm in agreement that we should move on from Doyle if we sign another TE before MAC. I would be most interested in keeping him as a blocker to help our new LT; but he usually always lines up on the right side of the OL anyways.

Lifetime supply of organic corn starch from Clabber Girl, free trips to French Lick for family every year, and lifetime Indy 500 season tickets should do it.

Agree with the 1st part... agree with the second part with the caveat that I think drafting a QB is better for the long-term success of the team than trading for a vet(especially one in his mid-30s). For all we know even if the vet we get plays well, we might be in the same exact position we are in now in a year or two... So the question is ... having in mind the state of our roster right now and all the important positions that need addressing... should we be aiming at a short-term, win-now solution? IMO going win-now with a QB like Stafford, only makes sense if you are going to go all in across the board and try to address heavily all of the positions we are severely lacking at... which I don't know if is realistic.
