Is that what happens when a football game results in a tie? How would the rules playout?

Sorry im thinking about what happens in soccer when both teams end in a draw. We have yet see this to happen!

Adam Vinatieri would win hands down! Except if it involved kicking a field goal farther then 51 yards...lol. He barely makes it past the post at 51...

In football, a tie works like this:

After 4 quarters, if the score is tied, there is a coin flip. One team receives the ball and tries to score. If that team scores anything (FG or TD), the game is over. In the playoffs, if a team scores a FG, then the other team gets the ball and has the chance to match it by scoring a FG (which would result in the teams going back and forth again) or scoring a TD (which would result in that team winning). In the regular season, if no one has scored after 15 mins of overtime play, the game is over and ends in a tie. In the playoffs, you keep going until someone wins.

Did they change it to Regular Season? Good, stops people needing to get to FG range and being done with the match.
