Wow. We very much disagree. Liberal or conservative.

there's a sexual connotation to that which, to me, makes it molestation. I'm sorry

I think you're giving Adrian the benefit of the doubt which is your right.

I just don't. Not with kids.

There is no sexual connotation whatsoever. There was no intent to hit his genitals. It was not for pleasure or arousal.

So now I'm molesting my daughter too? That's what you're telling me?

I am 30 years old, white, and from Indiana. Apparently I was molested often as a child. Me and my brother both had to cut our own switches, or sometimes we got the belt. But we always had to pull our pants down.

You are correct about one thing OUM, it left a lasting impression on me. Everytime I thought about smarting off to my parents, talking back, skipping school, cussing, throwing a fit, etc. I remembered what dad would do if he found out. To this day, I still cant talk back to my parents or disrespect elderly people. I guess dad's form of discipline/ molestation (whatever you want to call it) worked on me and my brother. Maybe more parents should discipline their kids. I learned at a young age what I could and couldn't do.

With that being said, I will never make my son cut his own switch, but don't think for a second I don't pull his pants down and bust his butt when it is needed.

We have plenty of people in this world who do molest children and what AP done was too much, but please let's not start considering spanking a bare butt molestation.

Barry's teams were underrated. He wasn't carrying The Bad News Bears. With that said, he was better than Emmitt and AP imo and he was the best player on those teams.

The Barry Lions are indeed underrated.

Brett Perriman, Herman Moore, and Willie Green were great wide receivers. If only they had better QB's than Peete and Mitchell, they would have been dangerous.

Why do all of you sit here and post all these stories how you got beat as a child and it 'made you a man' so you beat the % out of your kids as you learned? No one cares. Go to a parenting forum if you want to go off on how proud you are to abuse your kids cause they need it. Child abuse is still child abuse, and what AP did should have landed him in jail but thankfully you get a free pass when you have the privilege of being a worshiped athletic figure in America.

Let's try and go just one discussion, one time without it turning into a big circle party of high fives for beating kids.

Please point out one post that does as you are suggesting?

Also, he didn't get jail time because it was his first offense of any kind. That's how it works for all people. Not just millionaires. Take your socialism elsewhere

Finally something me and Bogie disagree on. Everything is getting back to normal...well...not really because I only disagree with about 1/3 of what he's saying.

I think there's still a place for whoopins in this world, and not just because I got my fair share of them. Now there is a line between whoopins and abuse but that's been done to death on here. Also, people banding together all "we got our whoopins back in the day" is not nearly as overdone the other side of the fence of that issue or the other issues that Liberal America interjects into every conversation.

He's going to 'blow up' this year.  I fully expect with a year off, him being unhappy and feeling like he has something to prove.  Plus Teddy being a decent QB and them drafting a potentially legitimate #1 WR...opposing defenses cannot stack against him like they used to.

I think it is quite possible he hits1700+ yards...and maybe  6ypc this year.  he'll lead the league if he doesn't get hurt in nearly every RB stat this coming season.

But the only guys they had on defense that was good was Jerry Ball, and Cris Speilman....
