Andrew Luck the 'Lebron James of the nfl'

You honestly do not think him saying he is the greatest player in sports is a "me" thing?

I'm going to amend my comment about "the best player" comment....

What he said is that he's the best basketball player in the world.......    not the best athlete in the world.

In my view,  what he was doing, given the context of the question he was asked,  is that he was publicly reminding his teammates that though they're down 3-2,  the series is going back to Cleveland,  and though Golden State may have a better 12-man roster,  Cleveland has the best player in the world -- him.

I don't think he's saying something like that for sake of saying it, or because he's got an ego.   LeBron is super smart, like all the great ones are.    He said what he said for a reason -- to send a positive message to his team -- they've got a fighting chance,  even down 3-2.

Just my view of it......

That last game....dude gave more than he had to give....had to just lay down after the buzzer. This new world view of the best in any sport is sickening. It started with Shaq. All he could ever accomplish was our given expectations. He could never exceed them because our lovely media and frothy fan spin put him at the top of all future accomplishments before he had ever touched an NBA basketball in season.

Well Lebron is now 2 for 6 in the finals. Tough. Tough.

The next Jordan right? lol.  I think the media can finally be done with that garbage.  Great player, future HOFer, played amazing in the finals despite some questionable fourth quarters and low shooting percentage but he is no MJ.  With that being said, I am sure the Cavs will be even better next year.  They will be able to learn from this and will have a good shot to finally win one next year.  I also believe the Warriors, Spurs and Thunder will be extremely tough, the East is a joke.

I don't get all the hate on Lebron. Not too many players would have returned home to a below average team and wanted to do something for his hometown. Yes Jordan was the best player in his era and maybe of all time but he also played on a very good team. Did Jordan win a championship without Pippen? Did Bryant win one without another super star on the roster? Comparing the NFL to the NBA does not tell a whole story. The NBA teams have 5 starters while the NFL have 22. Coaching in the NBA calls for a lot less personnel involvement than the NFL. It is easier to coach 10 players rather than 53.

Just as long as Andrew and a few other guys on our team never act like this.......

I still can't get over this crap. Some of the dumbest crap I ever saw. Might as well been an intro to Magic Mike.

Truer words have never been more accurate. Wow, was that cheesy with a capital C Jules.

Jordan played mostly with players that were drafted by the Bulls. That's the difference. Also Jordan RARELY ever disappeared in the 4th quarters like Lebron has had a bad habit of. How much talent does the so-called "greatest player in the world" need? He had two 7 footers that GS struggled to stop yet he kept taking shot after shot then proceeds to say he has no talent. The easiest way to beat Lebron is let him try to do everything. He'll shoot his team right out of the game. GS and San Antonio did it to damn near perfection

He never would have made it in the 80's-early 90's NBA. His patented lowered shoulder bull rush through people would have had him beaten all to hell.
